      【拓展】temperature作名词,表示天气、人体或 物体的温度,一般用数值描述。The temperature tday is 25℃. 今天的温度是25摄氏度。lw / high / nrmal temperature 意为“低/高/ 常温”
      2. Yu shuld take sme medicine and drink enugh water. 你应该服药,并喝足够的水。take medicine 意为“吃药;服药”。Take medicine befre ging t bed. 睡前吃药。
      3. It stps us frm passing the flu virus t thers easily. 这样避免我们轻易地把流感病毒传染给别人。stp ... frm ding 意为“阻止某人或某物做某事”,与prevent ... frm ding用法相同,可省略frm。The law can stp / prevent the situatin (frm) getting wrse. 该法律能防止情况进一步恶化。
      keep ... frm ding也意为“阻止某人或某物做某事”,但表示持续地阻止,且frm不能省略。We must keep the children frm swimming in the river. 我们必须阻止孩子们在河里游泳。
      【拓展】stp t d 意为“停下来去做另一件事”,而stp ding 意为“停止正在做的事”。Let’s stp t have a rest. 咱们停下来休息一下吧。Yu shuld stp smking. 你应该停止吸烟。

      4. Patient 病人patient 的用法:(1) 作名词,意为“病人”。The dctr is seeing a patient nw. 医生现在正在给一位病人看病。
      (2) 作形容词,意为“有耐心的;能忍受的”。常用搭配如下:①be patient with sb 对某人有耐心Teachers shuld be patient with their students. 老师们应该对他们的学生有耐心。②be patient f sth 能忍受某事He is patient f pain. 他能忍受疼痛。
      【拓展】patiently 是其副词形式,意为“耐心地”。patience是其名词形式 ,意为“耐心;忍耐力”。
      5. Asking abut injuries / illnesses 询问受伤情况/病情【辨析】injury与illness
      He suffered a serius leg injury in a car accident. 他在一场车祸中腿部受了重伤。My grandfather has an illness and has t stay in hspital. 我爷爷生病了,不得不住院。
