What: The text is an expsitry writing, intrducing the develpments f advertisements. In this lessn, the fundamental purpse f advertising industry is explained at the very beginning and then cmes a prcess f change the advertisements have gne thrugh ver the years alng with scial, ecnmic and technlgical develpments, including classic ads, mdern ads, imprved mdern ads, further imprved mdern ads and public ads. In the prcess, the characteristics f a certain type f advertisement are firstly elabrated, and then the shrtcmings f it are pinted ut and therefre anther type f advertisement is brn. Driven by the develpment f sciety, technlgy and peple’s visual standard, the advertisers are cnstantly pushing advertising frward t adapt t the wrld, which is just like playing a game.
Hw: This text is rganized clearly in tw parts with the first paragraph as Part 1 intrducing the purpse and main idea f the passage, and the rest paragraphs as Part 2 explaining ne type f advertisement in each paragraph. It uses the techniques f making cmparisn and cntrast, giving examples, analyzing cause and effect, etc. Based n the structure, the title and the language features, students can identify the text type, which will help them t analyze the text better.
Why: The text aims t build students’ knwledge f advertising which is als a kind f media. By understanding the develpment f advertisements, students will be aware f the functins f advertising. Besides, they will set up a prper attitude twards advertising in their daily life. Hpefully, by the end f this perid, students will be able t intrduce ne f their favrite advertisements t thers based n what they have learnt.
学情分析
教学对象为高中二年级物化地学生,该班学生课堂表现较为积极,对英语学习有一定的兴趣,并对新鲜事物充满好奇心,同时也拥有了一定的实际生活经验和背景知识。但学生们英语基础较弱,词汇量和语法知识有所欠缺。虽了解一些常见的阅读策略,但在运用方面不够熟练。

In this lessn, students learn the develpments f advertisements in terms f types, features, purpses and disadvantages frm the text. Therefre, as an utput, students are asked t write a shrt passage f their favrite advertisement using what they have learnt in class.

通过本节课的学习,学生练习了阅读策略如快读、细读,获得了关于广告业的发展、特征、以及缺点,在输出阶段,学生基于阅读阶段获得的信息并运用之前的知识介绍了自己喜欢的广告类型,是一个很好的输出训练。但是因为文章较长,长难句较多,学生在寻找段落主旨句时有些许困难;并且学生在输出表达阶段有所拘谨,或因其不准确的发音所致,平时课堂应多注意学生的发音,多帮助学生纠音,多给学生锻炼的机会,鼓励学生积极用英语表达自己。
