    【教学过程】
    1. Talk abut Christpher Reeve.
    1) Read the title f the lessn. Revise admirable qualities and the definitin f a superher with the students.
    2) Discuss the phts:
    a. What d the pictures tell us?
    b. What is happening in each picture?
    c. Hw has Christpher Reeve changed?
    2. What d yu want t knw abut Christpher Reeve?
    1) Students can cmplete the mind map in pairs r small grups.
    2) Using the backgrund knwledge frm Activity 1, create a discussin n hw Superman was a true superher bth in real life and in the mvies.
    3) Students brainstrm questins that they wuld like t ask Christpher Reeve.
    3. Read the stry and find ut.
    1) Divide students int grups based n their reading level. Allw high level readers t read the stry independently and cmplete the activity alne. Encurage middle level readers t wrk tgether t read the stry and t find the answers t their questins. Supprt lw level readers by listening as they read the stry alud and explaining unknwn terms and tricky sentence structures. Help lw level readers t underline the answers t their questins.
    2) Discuss the answers that the students fund as a class.
    3) If there is time, write dwn the questins that weren’t answered and research their answers.
    4. Read again, take ntes, and then talk abut Christpher Reeve.
    1) Discuss the diagram.
    2) Divide the class int small grups. In each grup, students read the stry alud and discuss imprtant facts abut Christpher Reeve.
    3) Students cmplete the diagram.
    4) Students share their answers with the class.
    5. Read again and answer questins.
    1) Students vlunteer t read the questins and the stry.
    2) Divide students int grups based n their reading level. Allw high level readers t read the stry independently and cmplete the questins alne.     2) Read and discuss the Skill Builder. Prvide example situatins fr the students t practise with, e.g., If yu were paralysed, hw wuld yu feel? If yu culd nt fllw yur dream, hw wuld yu feel?
    3) Students wrk independently r in small grups t answer the questins.
    4) Encurage students t share their answers with the class and t supprt their answers with reasns.

    1) Read the questins.
    2) Divide students int small grups. Each grup discusses the tw questins.
    3) Encurage the students t supprt their answers with reasns.
    4) Grups share their answers with the class.
    9. Find wrds and cmplete sentences.
    1) Ask students t vlunteer t read the phrase and sentence frames. Explain any unknwn wrds.
    2) Students cmplete the task with the crrect frm f the wrds.
    10. Cmplete the Wrd Builder and sentences.
    1) Discuss with students that synnyms are wrds with similar meanings and antnyms are wrds with ppsite meanings. Read the ntes frm the Grammar Summary n page 93.
    2) Prvide each student with a wrd that they need t give a synnym and an antnym fr, e.g., quiet and silent are synnyms, quiet and nisy are antnyms.
    3) Instruct students t cmplete the exercise independently. Students can use a dictinary.
    4) Check answers as a class.
    11. What inspiratin d yu get frm Christpher Reeve?
    1) In small grups, students explain what inspired them abut Christpher Reeve’s life. Encurage students t supprt their answers with reasns.
    2) Grups share their answers with the class.
    12. Use what yu have learnt t intrduce a superher in real life that yu admire.
    1) Prvide students with the resurces t research a superher, either bks frm the library r nline tls.
    2) Ask students t share with the class an example f a superher and their reasns fr chsing this persn.
    3) Students gather infrmatin abut their chsen superher using the fllwing titles as a guideline: Backgrund and Achievements. Encurage students t use their wn wrds and the vcabulary that has been explred.
    4) Students make a shrt presentatin abut this persn t the class.
