The Hall f Prayer fr Gd Harvests (祈年殿),which was built in 1420, is ne f the earliest structures in the Temple f Heaven cmplex. It is ne f the wrld's largest ancient wden buildings——38 meters tall and 36meters in diameter, and was built entirely withut nails.Originally, it was called“The Great Sacrificial Hall(大祀殿)”.
* In 1545, the building was recnstructed int a circular wden hall standing n a square base,embdying (体现) the ancient Chinese csmlgical(宇宙哲学的) cncept: the circular shape symblizing Heaven and the square base representing Earth.
