句①②③中,关系词前面均有 ,它们引导的为 。
注意:非限制性定语从句的特点:
形式上:用逗号与主句隔开;
意义上:只是对先行词或主句的补充说明,如删除,主句仍表达完整的意思。
Part II While-class Activities
自主预习: 非限制性定语从句
一、作用
非限制性定语从句只是对主句内容或先行词的补充、解释或附加说明。没有它,主句也 能独立存在;非限制性定语从句和主句的关系不密切,它与先行词之间常用逗号隔开。需注意的是,that 不能引导非限制性定语从句。
二、关系代词引导的非限制性定语从句
1.which 指物,在定语从句中作主语或宾语。
China Daily attracts a wrldwide readership, which shws that mre and mre peple all ver
the wrld want t learn abut China.
《中国日报》有着全球的读者群,这说明全球越来越多的人想要了解中国。
2.wh 指人,在定语从句中作主语或宾语。
Li Hua, wh is ur mnitr, was praised by ur teacher yesterday.
李华是我们的班长,昨天被我们的老师表扬了。
3.whm 指人,在非限制性定语从句中作宾语,一般不能省略。
Peter, whm yu met in Lndn, is ging t Paris next week.
你在伦敦见过的那个彼得,下周将要去巴黎。
4.whse 既可指人,也可指物,在定语从句中作定语。
先行词指人时,whse+n.相当于 the+n. +f whm;
先行词指物时,whse+n.相当于 the+n. +f which。
The bks n the desk, whse cvers are shiny, are prizes fr us.
桌上那些封面闪亮的书是为我们准备的奖品。
5.as 既可指人,也可指物,在定语从句中可以作主语或宾语。
As we all knw, smking is harmful t peple's health.
众所周知,吸烟对人的健康有害。

as/which 引导非限制性定语从句时的区别:

三、关系副词引导的非限制性定语从句
当先行词指时间或地点,且在定语从句中作状语时,用 when,where 引导非限制性定
语从句,why 不引导非限制性定语从句,但可用 fr which 代替。

我们将把在公园的野餐推迟到下周,届时天气可能会更好。

四、“介词+关系代词” 引导的非限制性定语从句
在“介词+关系代词” 中,关系代词用 whm 指人,用 which 指物。

就人类为什么哭出眼泪科学家提出了许多理论,但没有一项理论得到过证明。

五、限制性定语从句与非限制性定语从句的区别
1 .引导词不同:关系代词 that,关系副词why 均不可以引导非限制性定语从句。
2 .非限制性定语从句与主句关系不很密切,中间用逗号隔开,译成汉语时,通常译成两
句话而限制性定语从句常与主句一起译成一句话。
①I have tw freign teachers, bth f whm are frm America.
我有两个外教,他们都来自美国。
②The freign teacher wh cmes frm America teaches us literature.
美国来的那位外教教我们文学。
3.非限制性定语从句的引导词无论在从句中作什么成分,均不可省略;而在限制性定语
句中,作宾语的关系代词可省略。
① This is the man (that/wh/whm) we are talking abut.这就是我们正谈论的那个人。
② This is the man, whm we talked abut just nw.这就是那个人,我们刚才谈论过的。
4.在限制性定语从句中,指人时,作宾语的 whm 可以用 wh 或 that 代替,但在非限制性
定语从句中不可以代替。
① He is the very persn whm/wh/that we referred t.
他正是我们提到的那个人。
