一 教材分析
What
“The time - eating mnster ”（书面语篇）。这是一篇议论文，谈论沉迷于娱乐活动可能带来的负面影响，指出要适度娱乐。 a shrt paragraph （书面语篇，需学生完成）。学生结合自身感兴趣的娱乐活动，反思不合理的娱乐方式可能带来的危害，并提出解决方案。

Why
有助于学生批判性地审视自己的娱乐活动，并警惕沉迷其中的风险。引导学生正确看待学习和娱乐活动之间的关系，帮助他们找到二者之间的平衡点，从而真正学会如何适度娱乐。
二 学情分析
根据《义务教育英语课程标准（2022年版）》和学生用书之前的学习要求，就本单元 the meaning f having fun 这一话题以及与之相关的三个子话题，分析学生应该已经掌握的有关知识与技能和应该具有的观点（包括态度、价值观等）。例如：在语言知识方面，学生之前应该已经学习了 play , cmputer , TV , film , music , game 等有关娱乐话题的词汇；在语篇类型方面，他们应该已经接触过笔记、对话等常见体裁。
三 教学目标
1学生能够认识到沉迷于娱乐活动的弊端，批判性地看待娱乐活动。
2学生完成一个段落写作，话题为 having fun in a balanced way 。
3学生能够描述自己喜欢的娱乐活动。学生能够描述沉迷于娱乐活动的弊端。学生能够描述如何合理安排娱乐活动。
四 教学步骤
1）话题热身
1课前布置预习任务，请学生调查家庭成员喜欢的娱乐活动： What fun activities d yu and yur family ften d ? Hw much time d yu spend n the activities ?
2课程开始时组织小组活动，讨论上述问题，并引出话题： having fun in a balanced way 。由此给出阶段3要求，用演示文稿或板书形式呈现主题目标、结果产出和评价标准等要点，帮助学生明确学习任务。
2将第60页下方的图片投屏，提问： What is the by ding ?( He is watching TV .) What des he lk like ?( He is verweight and lazy , like a cuch ptat .) Des he get lst in TV shws ?( Yes , he des .) What prblems will he meet if he des it every day ?( He might have bad eyesight and ther health prblems .)
2）读前活动
1将活动1的图片投屏，请学生使用提示词回答问题。
(1) What activities can yu see in the pictures ?( Spending time n scial media and watching TV shws .)(2) Hw much time d yu spend n these activities each week ？先挑选几个学生回答，然后追问全班： D they have fun in a balanced way ？与学生探讨 balanced 的含义（ prper , right )。(3) Hw may they affect yur life ?引导学生从正面和反面思考屏幕娱乐的利弊： Des scial media bring yu clser t yur friends r make yu miss ut n time with yur friends ? D TV shws eat away yur time ? D yu get lst in the screens ?
3）读中活动
1引导学生关注语篇标题，提问： What des a mnster lk like in yur mind ?可展示尖嘴獠牙的怪兽形象，帮助学生理解。板书学生使用的形容词，如： big , scary , hrrible , dangerus 等。
请学生快速浏览语篇，回答问题：
(1) What is the time - eating mnster accrding t the writer ?( Fun activities like games , scial media and TV shws .)
(2) Is the time - eating mnster gd r bad fr us accrding t the writer ?( It ' s bad fr us .)
(3) What des the writer try t tell us by the title ?( The writer wants us t pay attentin t the way we have fun .)

3请学生细读语篇，完成思维导图。
4引导学生讨论以下问题：

5引导学生关注第四段第一句，提问： What d yu think f it ？请学生自由发言，不做对错评价。
4）读后活动／结果产出
1布置任务，请学生理解写作要求、话题、内容（见Step1）和评价标准（见Step3)。2请学生独立完成Step1中的各项内容。可建议学生借鉴阶段1和2中学习的内容，每个问题用1-2个句子回答。如果学生基础较弱，可以与学生进行口头问答，帮助他们形成相应的语句：
