We ften link sunds tgether when we speak English. There are fur different ways f linking sunds tgether.
Get t knw liaisn
We usually link a cnsnant sund (辅音) with a vwel sund (元音).
Yu must stand up t eat an apple in an hur’s time.
When the first wrd ends in –r r –re and the next wrd begins with a vwel sund, we jin them tgether with a /r/ sund between them.
2 -r(e)+元音

When the first wrd ends with a vwel sund and the next wrd begins with a vwel sund, we jin them as if there were a /j/r /w/sund between them.

连读指在连贯地说话或朗读时,在同一个意群(即短语或从句)中,如果相邻的两个词前者以辅音音素结尾,后者以元音音素开头,就要自然地将辅音和元音相拼,构成一个音节的读法。
相邻的两词在意义上必须密切相关,同属一个意群。连读现象只出现在意群内部,意群与意群之间的两个相邻单词即使符合上面所讲的两个条件,也不连读。
Eg: I hpe it’ll get a little warmer.
这个句子中的hpe it就不连读为/ həʊpɪt /,因为主句I hpe是一个意群,后面的从句是另一个意群。
1、前一个词以辅音结尾,后一个词以元音开头,就要将辅音与元音拼起来读。2、前一个词以“r”或者“re”结尾,后一个词以元音开头,就要用/r/ 连接这两个词。3、前一个词以元音结尾,后一个词也以元音开头,连接他们时好像在中间增加了一个半元音/j/或 /w/。4、前一个词以辅音结尾,后一个词也以辅音开头,有时不用读出前一个词末尾的辅音。
