After Li Daiyu and her cusin arrived in Trnt, the largest and wealthiest city in Canada, they nly had a few hurs t kill befre they had t prceed t the next leg(part) f their trip t Mntreal, s they went n a tur f the city. They went up the CN Twer and lked acrss the shres f Lake Ontari. Standing in the distance, they were astnished t see misty cluds rising frm the great Niagara Falls, which is n the suth side f the lake. Water frm the lake flws int the Niagara River and ver the falls n its way t the sea.
The girls saw hundreds f skyscrapers f glass and steel, and ld-fashined cars rlling by. As they walked nrth frm the harbur area, Li Daiyu said, “Lin Fei, ne f my mther‘s ld schlmates, lives here. I shuld phne her and see if she’s available fr dinner.”
They met Lin Fei arund dusk ver dinner at a restaurant in dwntwn Chinatwn. The cusins chatted with Lin Fei, wh had mved t Canada many years earlier.
“This is the largest Chinatwn in Trnt. We have a few mre in theGreater Trnt Area, s yu can guess that there are a lt f Chinesepeple in Canada! Chinese peple have been cming here fr mre than a hundred years. Therefre, we can get all kinds f great fd here frm all ver China,” Lin Fei tld them.

“We dn't leave until this evening,” said Liu Oian. “Let's g dwntwn. Old Mntreal is clse t the water."
They spent the afternn in lvely shps and visiting artists in theirwrkplaces alng St Paul Street. As they sat in a restaurant alngside the brad St Lawrence River, a yung man sat dwn with them.
“Hell, my name is Jean-Philippe. l’m a phtgrapher ," he said, “and l was wndering where yu are frm.”
The girls tld him they were frm China and were n a train trip acrss Canada. When they tld him they had nly ne day in Mntreal, he said, “That’s t bad. Yu we it t yurselves t stay lnger. Overall, Mntreal is a city with wnderful sights and sunds. Mst f us speak bth English and French, and the city has unique Quebec culture and traditins. There are fantastic restaurants and clubs arund, t. Here, we lve gd cffee, tast , and cheese. And gd music, f curse!”
