    In a film abut Mars, the leading actr is a scientist left behind n Mars. He has little fd and water, s he has t find a way t survive until smene can save him. Luckily, he knws hw t grw things, and ne f the things he grws is a ptat plant.
    Later, scientists in Peru and NASA scientists in Califrnia started wrking tgether n grwing ptates in Mars-like cnditins. They built a cntainer called Mars-in-a-bx where they culd create cnditins similar t thse n Mars. The salty sil came frm the suthern cast f Peru, where there is very little rain.
    Inside the Mars-in-a-bx, the scientists made the air pressure similar t what it is like at 6,000 metres, decreased the temperature belw zer, and added carbn mnxide(一氧化碳) t the air. They made a lighting system that fllwed Mars’ daytime and nighttime.

In a little while, Steve and Zach were inside their tent packing their belngings.
    “Let’s g!We can make it back t the river!” They headed dwn against the fire-wind in the directin f the river. But Brady barked a sharp warning. Ahead f them lay a thick curtain f smke acrss the track. They wuld never make thrugh that. Steve was uneasy fr it was hard t find a safe way t escape in the heavy smke.
    Brady lifted his head and smelled the smke-filled wind. Next mment, the dg bunded away and disappeared dwn a sharp slpe (斜坡). The bys shuted fr him, but he didn’t cme back. Steve culdn’t blame Brady fr panicking. He himself wanted t run even thugh he didn’t have a clue which way.
