一、教学目标
1. 复习并掌握本模块的重点单词、短语。
2. 能掌握本模块的重点句型。
3. 能够运用动词不定式作宾语补足语和目的状语的用法。
4. 能够制定计划,建立野生动物保护俱乐部。
5. 通过让学生了解世界上越来越多动物正处于濒临灭绝的状态,增强学生的环境保护意识,提高保护动物、保护环境的自觉性。
二、教学重点及难点
重点:
1. 掌握本单元的单词、短语、句型及语法。
2. 运用动词不定式作宾语补足语和目的状语的用法。
难点:制订一个建立野生动物保护俱乐部的计划。
三、教学准备
1. 多媒体设备和课件;
2. 设计课后巩固练习;
3. 教学图片。
四、教学过程
Step 1 Revision
Practice and review the grammar.
【设计意图】通过练习检测学生对于本模块语法的掌握情况。
Step 2 Warming-up
Look at the pictures and talk about them.
【设计意图】通过对阅读话题进行讨论来激发学生的表达欲望,锻炼学生口语表达能力。
Step 3 Practice
1. Listen and complete the poster.
2. Listen again and answer the questions.
【设计意图】听力活动考查学生听并提取主要信息的能力,同时也为制订“建立野生动物保护俱乐部”的计划做了一定的语言铺垫。
3. Read the sentences after the email with the class and ask Ss to predict what information is missing.
4. Ask Ss to read through the email quickly and underline any information that helps them choose the correct answer.
5. Get Ss to choose the correct answer on their own.
6. Ask them to check answers in pairs.
7. Elicit answers in full sentences from the whole class.
【设计意图】训练学生的阅读理解能力,扩展其有关动物保护方面的知识。
8. Show Ss the pictures of blue whale and wild Bactrian camel. Read the information with the class.
9. Read the passage.
【设计意图】帮助学生了解很多动物濒临灭绝的事实,增强其保护动物的意识和环保意识。
10. Learn some language points.
(1) I am having a great time here in the south of England.
我现在在英格兰南部玩得很开心。
have a great time 意为“玩的开心,过得愉快”。同义短语还有:have a good time, have fun, enjoy oneself。
(2) Many animals around the world are in danger.
全世界的很多动物都濒临灭绝。
around the world 意为“环游世界;世界各地;全世界”。同义表达有:all over the world。
【设计意图】学习本课时的语言点,帮助学生系统地掌握新知识。
11. Let Ss do some exercises to consolidate what they have learned.
【设计意图】通过练习巩固本课所学知识,考查学生对知识的掌握程度。
Step 3 Production
1. Put Ss in groups of 3~4 and ask them to discuss and make notes about the club from the four aspects.
2. Go around the class monitoring and making suggestions. Make sure the Ss have all the information in their notes.
3. Tell Ss to use their notes and the information they have decided in Activity 10 to make a poster about the club.
4. Encourage Ss to find out as much information about the animals they want to help as possible. Tell them to add the information to the poster and illustrate the poster with pictures and whatever they want to attract attention. They can refer to the information.
5. Nominate some groups to present their posters to the rest of the class.

Step 5 Summary
