But the actors and actresses were excellent. We only planned to watch for an hour but in the end, we stayed for three hours. Ability objectives ①Be able to understand the conversation about the Beijing Opera. ②Be able to use vocabulary and phrases correctly in this unit. Emotional objectives ①Let students actively participate in communicative activities and speak English boldly. ②Cultivate students' interest and love for traditional Chinese culture such as Beijing Opera and drama. |

教学过程 | 1.Lead-in: ①Teacher asks students to watch the video and describe Peking Opera in their own words. ②Ask students to show their answers. 2.Presentation Task 1 New words ①Teacher asks students to see the pictures and say the words. ②Organize the students to read the new words together. Task 2 Listening ①Ask students to look at the pictures and talk about them. ②Ask students to listen and underline the correct words or expressions. ③Play the tape and ask students to skim the conversation. ④Organize the students to read the conversation with the recording. ⑤Ask students to check (√) the true sentences. ⑥Ask students to complete the passage with the correct form of the words in the box. ⑦Teacher checks the answers with the class. Task 3 Notes ①Organize students to come to the blackboard and show out some difficult language points that they found. ②Teacher explains the language points. Task 4 Sentences ①Teacher shows the important sentences. ②Ask the students to read through the sentences.
