设计说明 本课时通过分享保护鲨鱼的海报引入新课时的学习和训练。接着处理教材1a和1b的内容,本部分是一个开放性的设计,没有固定的答案,答案因人而异。1c和1d两部分是听力练习,由易到难,各有侧重。1e部分是对前面听力材料的延伸训练,通过对话的方式谈论所听内容,是一个由输入变为输出的过程;最后通过习题检测学生的学习效果。 教学目标 通过本课时的学习,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 单词:recycle, napkin 2.能力目标 (1)通过听力练习,提高捕捉关键信息的能力; (2)能够运用所学的功能语言谈论保护环境。 3.情感目标 养成保护环境从小事做起、从实事做起的意识。 重点难点 重点:对听力内容的理解 难点:对听力内容的输出和运用 教学准备 PPT课件;1c, 1d的录音 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Ask the students to share their posters about shark protection with others. 2. Ask the students to vote for the best poster. Step 2 Thinking and comparing Work on 1a. T: Boys and girls, everyone knows that protecting the earth is very important. Think about the question: What can you do to help save the earth? 1. Rank these items from the easiest (1) to the most difficult (5). ______ stop riding in cars ______ recycle books and paper ______ turn off the lights when you leave a room ______ turn off the shower while you are washing your hair ______ don’t use paper napkins 2. Ask the students to compare their answers in 1a with their partners. 3. Get the students to talk about the items like this: A: Recycling paper is really easy. B: I agree. But it’s hard to stop riding in cars. 4. Explain some language points to the class. (1) Recycling paper is really easy. 动名词短语作主语 (2) It’s hard to stop riding in cars. It +be+形容词+to do sth. Step 3 Listening Work on 1c and 1d. Task 1 1. Listen to the recording and check the things that Julia and Jack talk about. 2. Check answers in pairs. Answers:

3. Show the tapescript to the class. Read it. Section B, 1c, 1d Jack: Turn off the lights, Julia. It saves electricity. Julia: Oh, I usually do that. I was just in a hurry. Jack: I see. I’ve just read a book which gives ideas about how we can save the environment. For example, you should turn off the shower when you’re washing your hair. Julia: Oh, I would never do that. I have very short hair. It only takes a few minutes to wash. What else does it say? Jack: You should take your own bags when you go shopping. Julia: Oh, that’s easy. I’ll do that from now on. What else? Jack: People should stop riding in cars and start riding bikes. Julia: No way! It would take me 45 minutes to get to school by bike! Jack: But it’s good for the environment! Besides, I like riding my bike. Julia: Yes, and you also live close to school! Step 4 Speaking Work on 1e. 1. Ask the students to work in pairs. Make a conversation using the information from the chart above. Say what is true for them. For example: A: We really shouldn’t use paper napkins, you know. B: I know. I stopped using them last year. A: You should turn off the shower when you’re washing your hair. B: Oh, I would never do that. It’s bad to waste water. 2. Further practice. Encourage the students to suggest other things that people can do to help save the earth. Then use these new suggestions to make their conversations. Step 5 Summary Step 6 Homework 1.
