Period Five　Writing—Writing an observational journal

 本单元的写作目标是“写一篇观察日记”。可以通过以下三个部分来进行写作：

第一部分：这种植物是怎样种植的；

第二部分：这种植物适合在何种环境中生长；

第三部分：这种植物长成了什么样子。

1．On the first day，I put some seeds into a basin...

4．Several days later，the young plant began to grow out of the soft soil...

假如你是李华，你想研究一下向日葵从种子到植株的生长过程，请根据下面的提示写一篇观察日记。

1．你把向日葵种子埋进了一个盆子的土里，浇了些水；

2．几天后，盆子中长出了嫩苗；你把盆子放在屋里，避免阳光暴晒；

3．嫩苗在茁壮地成长，几天后长得很高了；

4．你对于它的生长很是惊讶。

注意：

1．词数80左右；

2．可以适当增加细节，以使行文连贯。

审题

写作要求是写向日葵从种子到植株的过程。写作时应注意下面几点：

1．确定文体：这是一篇日记，写作中应注意日记的几大要素。

2．主体时态：文章应以一般过去时为主。

3．主体人称：由于是介绍向日葵从种子到植株的过程，所以人称应该以第一人称为主。

谋篇

第一段：介绍自己要观察记录的内容及目的；

第二段：介绍向日葵的发芽及生长过程；

第三段：表达自己的感受。

句式升级

1．用定语从句改写句1。

One day I buried some seeds of sunflowers into a basin，where there was some rich soil.

2．用简单句改写句2。

After pouring some water into it，I began to observe it with great patience.

3．用定语从句改写句3。

Several days later，some green and delicate plants grew out of the soil，which were so lovely.

4．用非谓语动词改写句4。

Seeing that the soil was a little dry，I added some water to it again.

 用适当的过渡词语，把以上词汇和句式，再加上联想内容，组成一篇80词左右的英语短文。
