Period Five　Writing—Writing a story

写作指导

本单元的写作目标是写一个故事。故事属于记叙文的一种。其特点是以事件为依据，对人的先后经历或事件发生的先后过程给予明确的、实事求是的叙述。

记叙文通常有六要素，即：时间、地点、人物、事件、原因和结果。写这类文章时条理要清楚。描写人物时，要注意介绍人物的身世、经历和重要事迹等。叙事时要描写事情发生和发展的过程，以及事情发生的前因后果等。

记叙的主要方法：

(1)顺叙：按事物发展变化的固有次序和人们认识事物的一般程序来进行叙述。其叙述线索、层次结构同事件发生、发展和结局的程序基本一致。

(2)倒叙：为了强调主要内容，突出中心思想，造成强烈悬念，激励读者寻根究底地读下去，倒叙改变了记叙的顺序。要特别注意倒叙和顺叙的交接处衔接。

(3)插叙：插叙的作用，除了补充、丰富原有的叙述外，还起对比或衬托的作用，深化了中心思想。

句式升级

1．将第1句和第2句用状语从句连接起来

2．将第3句用含有定语从句的复合句改写

After lunch，Father taught me to fish，which I enjoyed very much.

3．把第4句改为含有现在分词短语作状语的句子

When the sun began to set down，we returned，taking away the garbage we made.

用适当的过渡词语，把以上词汇和句式，再加上联想内容，组成一篇80词左右的英语短文。
