Period Five　Writing—Writing about a sporting moment

 本单元的写作目标是“描写一个运动时刻”。写此类文章时，必须把下列要素介绍清楚：

1．要描述什么运动项目；2.这个运动项目发生的时间、地点；3.作者的所见、所闻；4.作者的感受。

1．Our school held a sports meeting...

2．Of the runners，Tom was the...one

3．He ran so fast that the other runners...

4．Suddenly，he fell down...and...

5．Someone walked to him and...

6．Finally he stood up and went on running...

8．All of us should be more strong-minded...

根据下面的提示，描述某一个运动时刻。

1．上周日学校在操场上举行了跑步比赛；在所有的跑步运动员中，汤姆是跑得最快的一个；

2．他在拼命奔跑，其他运动员在拼命追赶；

3．突然，汤姆摔倒了，左腿受伤了；一些同学过去帮助他；

4．过了一会儿，汤姆站起来，继续跑；

5．在场的人都被他的精神感动了。

注意：1.词数80左右；

 2．开头已给出，不计入总词数。

审题

写作要求是描写一个运动时刻。写作时应注意下面几点：

1．确定文体：这是一篇记叙文，写作中应注意记叙文的常规格式。

2．主体时态：文章应以一般过去时为主。

3．主体人称：由于是描写一个运动时刻，所以人称应该以第三人称为主。

谋篇

第一段：简要介绍这次运动会的跑步比赛；

第二段：详细介绍跑步比赛中发生的事情；

第三段：你从中得到的感悟。

核心词汇

连词成句

1．汤姆跑得很快，一会就领先于其他选手了。(ahead of)

句式升级

1．用so...that...句型改写句1。

Tom ran so fast that he was ahead of the others after a short time.

2．用非谓语动词改写句2。

All the viewers were very excited, cheering for them.

3．用形容词短语作状语改写句3。

All the viewers present at the race were moved by his spirit.

 用适当的过渡词语，把以上词汇和句式，再加上联想内容，组成一篇80词左右的英语短文。

Last Sunday our school held a running race on the playground.

Tom ran so fast that he was ahead of the others after a short time.He was trying his best to run and the other runners were trying to keep up with him.And all the viewers were very excited，cheering for them.Suddenly，Tom fell down and his left leg was badly injured.Some students ran to him and took care of him.One student advised him to give up the race.However，after some time，Tom struggled to stand up and went on running.All the viewers present at the race were moved by his spirit.
