    Lesson 36: Clean Cars?

    设计说明

    利用THINK ABOUT IT里的问题导入新课。利用图片,教授新单词。学生先听课文,了解大体内容,完成Let’s Do It!1的听力训练;然后细读课文,回答5个问题,通过此环节的训练,学生不但能熟悉课文内容,而且能抓住课文关键信息。让学生找出课文中的重要短语,接着做Let’s Do It!23的相关练习。设置小组合作活动,完成活动4的表格。给学生讲解本课节的语言点,帮助学生解决课文中的疑惑和重难点。最后,通过当堂达标训练,检查学生对本课节的掌握情况。

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握单词:than

    接触单词:pedal, energy

    短语:from now on, think of, jump down, more than

    2.能力目标

    (1)了解交通工具的发展情况;

    (2)能够运用所学知识介绍新型交通工具。

    3.情感目标

    培养环保意识,节约能源,践行绿色发展理念。

    1.重点掌握本课节的单词、短语和句型。

    2.难点运用所学知识介绍新型交通工具。

    教学过程

    Step 1  Lead-in

    Ask the students to think about the two questions.

    What’s the transportation like in your city?

    What different kinds of fuel may be used in the future?

    Step 2  Vocabulary

    1.Teach the new words of this lesson.

    sun/water/wind energy n. 能量

    pedal n. 踏板  v. ……的踏板;骑自行车

    than prep. & conj.

    2. Ask the students to read the new words in groups and try to remember them.

    Step 3  Listening and reading

    1. Listen and tick the correct answers.( Let’s Do It! No. 1.)

    (1) Jenny and Li Ming talked about different types of transportation over the next ________ years.

        one hundred □one thousand   one million

    (2) Jenny would like to invent a ________.

        hoverboard  □clean car     backpack

    (3) Li Ming travelled across the city by ________.

        bus      bike       train

    Ask the students to read the sentences and then listen to the passage.

    Ask them to tick the correct answers.

    Check their answers.

    2. Ask the students to read the lesson and answer the questions.

    (1) What did they discuss?

    (2) What did the teacher ask them to do?

    (3) What’s the name of Danny’s old backpack?

    (4) What would Jenny like to invent?

    (5) What kinds of fuel will cars probably use to power them in the future?

    Check the answers in groups.

    Ask and answer in pairs.

    (5) In the future, cars will probably use water or sun energy to power them.

    3. Ask the students to find out the phrases and translate them into Chinese.

    2.Once students have finished filling out the table they may discuss their answers with another pair of students.

    3.Ask each pair to present their findings to the class.

    think about还可表示“想起;认为”,意为“认为”时,与think of同义。

    从现在开始一百年后人们将使用什么样的交通工具呢?

    拓展】①sound 作连系动词,意为“听起来”,后常跟形容词作表语。

    Your idea sounds good. 你的想法听起来不错。

    sound作名词,意为“声音”。

    Sound travels at 340 metres per second in the air.

    声音在空气中以每秒340米的速度传播。

    5.I pedalled for more than an hour!

    我骑了一个多小时的自行车。

    (1) more than 超过,多于,相当于over

    There were more than/over 50 people on stage.舞台上有50多人。

    (2)than 介词,比,后接名词、代词或动词-ing,用于两者之间的比较,是比较级的标志词之一。

    I run faster than Mary.我比玛丽跑得快。

    go well正常,顺利,相当于be all right
