Step 1  Lead-in

Free talk.

  Talk about the hobbies.

  Show the class questions, and talk about them with the whole class.

•What types of hobbies can you think of?

•What’s your hobby?

•What new hobby do you like? Why?

Step 2  Presentation 

1. Teach the new words postcard, outdoor, confidence and phrases not only…but also…, take up using pictures by talking about the hobbies.

 Read the sayings about hobbies in this lesson, and then get the class to think of some similar sayings in Chinese.

【注意】not only...but also...连接并列主语时，谓语动词的形式应与but also

后主语的形式保持一致。
