Writing: Lucy’s holiday plan
设计说明 先让学生自由谈论春节的活动、是否去过其他城市旅行以及旅行中的见闻。通过让学生完成基蒂的日记,让学生回顾上节课所学内容。通过让学生听有关基蒂写给露西的信,让学生初步了解信件的内容。接下来,让学生阅读并回答有关这封信的问题,培养学生提取有效信息的能力。然后,给出提示问题,让学生写信描述基蒂的春节假期计划。通过这样的活动,让学生学以致用,提高语言综合运用能力。对本课节出现的生词进行讲解,增加学生的语言储备。最后,在当堂达标环节,让学生写一篇有关介绍来上海旅游的假期计划的作文,拓展学生的思维,提升学生的素养。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标 学习本课节新词汇:wonderful, another, holiday; 熟悉用一般过去时谈论过去的活动; 熟悉书信开头、结尾的格式。 2.能力目标 能够写一篇短文介绍自己的假期计划。 3.情感目标 加深对祖国大好河山的了解,培养热爱祖国的情感。 重点难点 重点:能够掌握本课节新词汇并灵活运用各句式。 难点:能够写一篇短文介绍自己的假期计划。 教学准备 PPT课件;活动Look and read的录音;有关人民广场、上海外滩、豫园的图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Warming up Free talk. What do you usually do at the Spring Festival? Do you travel to other cities? What can you see during the visit?
Step 2 Revision T: Kitty has come back from Beijing. She is writing her diary. But some words are missing. Let’s fill in the blanks in groups.

Step 3 Listen and read The Li family has come back from Beijing. Kitty enjoyed the trip very much. She is writing a letter to her cousin, Lucy. Play the recording for the students to listen to. Play it again if necessary.
Step 4 Read and answer 1. Tell the students to read the letter and answer the following questions. (1) Who is the letter from? (2) Where is she now? (3) Did she have a wonderful time in Beijing? (4) What is she going to send together with the letter? (5) What does Kitty invite Lucy to do? 2. Elicit the answers. Answers: (1) Kitty. (2) In Garden City. (3) Yes, she did. (4) Photos. (5) She invites Lucy to visit them in Garden City for the Spring Festival.
Step 5 Think and write 1. Lucy is writing a letter to Kitty about her holiday plans for the Spring Festival. Ask the students to think about the following questions. 2. Give the students a structure to help them. 3. Monitor and help as needed. 4. Ask some students to share their writing.
Step 6 Language points 1.
