    The new map is twice as detailed as the map made 20 years ag. David Sandwell is a gephysics prfessr at the Scripps Institutin f Oceangraphy at the University f Califrnia. He and ther scientists wrked n the mapping prject. He says they turned t space t lk deeper int the cean.
