1.Learn the spelling rules of “wh-“

2.Ask more “wh” questions and write them down.

To finish the task, we should:

1. Find the pronunciation rule.
2. Read the words correctly:

what\when\where\whose\who

3. Try to read similar words. eg: white\ whale\whole\whoever\ wheel\....
4. Learn to make sentences with ‘wh’

Guide Ss to revise the pronunciation rule of  ng\nk, th\ch\sh , br\gr, cl\pl

Try to read these words on PPT. sing\ring\drink\bank\maths\think\mother\this\Chinese\ lunch\fish\sheep\library\breakfast\grapes\green\clock\class\eggplant…….

1 Listen to a chant and ask what you hear .

 2 Teach the phonics by the song.

   Sarah has a cute cat. They often play together. But now she can’t find it. She asks:”

Where is my cat ？Where is she? Who can find her?” Then help ss understand the meaning. Pay attention to the pronunciation of where\ who.

3.Let ss guess where the cat is . (in the living room\ study\bathroom\ kitchen….)

T:Oh, she is in the kitchen.  Where is she hiding ?

SS: She is hiding in \on\under\the…..(chair\desk\sofa\...)

T: Oh, she is hungry. What does she eat? What does she drink?

2. Listen and repeat the chant.

5. Ask ss to find the  spelling rules  of wh.

1. Check slow individuals. Get them to read the words correctly.
2. Present other words. Get Ss to read them according to the pronunciation rule.
