There it was. A test f willpwer. I was n a special diet with fds carefully selected fr balanced nutritin and calric value. A piece f cheese cake was nt a gd chice. S here was my dilemma: Shuld I nt eat the cheese cake, feel dissatisfied and take my disappintment ut n the annyingly skinny physical instructr at the gym? Or shuld I eat the cheese cake and wrk ff the calries?
The latter seemed like a win-win slutin. Nt nly wuld I get t enjy the cheese cake, but I’d get an exercise sessin And then it hit me: a delicate plan t use my cheese cake as an exercise incentive. The appeal f the cheese cake gt strnger s I launched my plan: I wuld run up and dwn the stairs and then back up again. My reward: ne small bite f the cheese cake. If I wanted anther, I’d have t run dwn and up and dwn and up again. Off I went. Ah, creamy vanilla (香草) gdness withut guilt. I wanted anther bite s I quickly sprinted (冲刺) thrugh anther stair climbing run.
Admittedly, it was harder t enjy the creaminess f the cheese cake when my tngue was dry frm ver-breathing. I placed a bttle f water next t the cake. Dwn and up and dwn and up again. When I struggled ver t the cheese cake, my hand bypassed the plate and went fr the water instead. I didn’t want the cake any mre. I wanted all this sweat and effrt t d mre than cancel the calries frm the cheese cake. I was exhausted and sure the cheese cake tasted fine but just nt gd enugh t make me run up and dwn the stairs ne mre time.

    Ⅰ.A
根据短文第二段中的yur lw prices and excellent custmer service keep me cming back t Supermart可知作者是该店的常客。
Specifically, I have never been able t purchase... Regent Brand Chili Seasning.
Yur Supermart is super in many me cming back t Supermart.(你的超市在很多方面都很出色。 故选A。
    5.varied adj.
S here was my ff the calries?
Nt nly wuld I get t enjy the cheese cake... as an exercise incentive.(我不仅可以享受奶酪蛋糕,还可以锻炼身体。 故选A项。
If I wanted anther, I’d have t run dwn and up and dwn and up again. 故选A项。
My plan wrked. Nw, any time I felt tempted t enjy a frmer favrite, I remembered my stairs trick.
Many cuntries have traditinal dishes made with special ingredients and prepared in a certain way.以及and when turists visit, these are the fds they want t try可知,F项(这些地方菜可以成为一个地方及其文化的象征)承上启下,故选F项。
In cntrast, wheat grws well in drier areas和后文中whereas inland cuisines tend t use mre meat frm farm animals可知,这里陈述不同的食物来自不同的地区,所以这里为:海鲜通常是沿海地区的关键食材,故选A项。
In warm weather, meat and fish can g bad quickly, s they must be cked right away r preserved fr later.和后句Fr that reasn, mdern Nrwegian cuisine includes many smked fds.
5.D 根据前文Smetimes lcal cuisines include ingredients that riginally cme frm anther place.和后文while many Russian dishes are made with ptates可知,这里为举例,D项(例如,意大利菜通常包括西红柿和甜椒)符合语境,故选D项。
    3.preservatin n.
    5.imprt v.
In additin, I can nly find large wntn wrappers, while many ther stres carry bth large and small and ffer a mre varied selectin t their custmers.
Nt nly wuld I get t enjy the cheese cake, but I’d get an exercise sessin(训练时段).
