Step 1 Lead-in
Ask a questin “When were yu brn?”，and talk abut sme daily tpics abut birth, like the date and the year f the birth.
Step 2 Presentatin
1. Shw students a calendar and present sme new wrds, like lunar calendar, the Year f the Hrse…
2. Shw students twelve animal signs and talk abut the names and smething like the animal signs.
Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragn, Snake, Hrse, Sheep, Mnkey, Rster, Dg, Pig
3. Shw them 12 star signs and talk abut the star signs.
Step 3 Listen and practice
1. Shw A1. Read the sentences and make sure the students understand each f them.
2. Ask them t read thrugh the ntes in A2 and cmplete sme f the ntes befre listening.
3. Listen t the tape twice and cmplete the ntes.
4. Check the answers.

(1) It is said that...意为“据说……”。类似的还有It is believed that…“人们相信……”, It is reprted that…“据报道……”。

It is reprted that an earthquake happened last week.
据报道上周发生了一场地震。
(2) brn in the Year f the Tiger 是过去分词短语作后置定语，修饰前面的名词peple。
