1.I‘d like to thank you for sending money to “Animal Helpers ”,an organization set up to help disabled people.我很感谢资助“动物助手”，一个帮助残疾人的组织。

(1)thank sb for doing sth 是固定表达，意为“因某人做事而感谢某人”。如：

Thank you for helping me with mp English.谢谢你帮我学英语。

(2)后句an organization…people作“Animal Helpers”的同位语,解释说明 “Animal Helpers”。

(3)set up 是固定短语，意为“建立，创立”。如：

They set up a school for old people.他们为老人开办了一所学校。

2.I’ll send you a photo of him if you like.如果你喜欢的话，我就寄一张他的照片给你。

(1)本句是由if引导的真实条件句。从句用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时。如：

I’ll not go if you don’t go tomorrow.如果你明天不去我也不去。

(2)send sb sth 相当于send sth sb,意为“寄给某人某物”。如：

Please send me a photo of your family.=Please send a photo your family to me.请寄一张你家的照片给我。

从句用一般现在时，主语用一般将来时。如：

I’ll not go if you don’t go tomorrow.如果你明天不去我也去。

3.Then one day last year,a friend of mine said that she would like to help me out.去年的某一天，我的一个朋友说她想要帮助我走出困境。

help sb out意为“帮助某人解决难题或摆脱困境”。如：

I can’t work out this math problem.Please help me out .我做不出这道数学题，请帮我一下。

4 It’s very important that this organization does not run of money.这个组织有缺乏资金是非常重要的。

[辨析]run out of 与run out

run out of为及物动词，其主语常是人、机构，意为“用光”、“耗尽”。如：

We’re running out of water.我们的水快用光了。

run out 意为“用完”、“跑出”，常用做不及物动词，不能用于被动语态。当意为“用完”时，其主语常是被使用的事物。如：

His patience has run out.他失去了耐心。
