The United Kingdm is an independent cuntry ff the nrthwestern cast f Eurpe.It cnsists f the entire island f Great Britain and a nrthern part f the island f Ireland.In fact，the fficial name f the cuntry is “the United Kingdm f Great Britain and Nrthern Ireland”．The capital city f the United Kingdm is Lndn.
Great Britain
Great Britain is the name f the island nrthwest f France and east f Ireland.Much f the United Kingdm cnsists f the island f Great Britain.On the large island f Great Britain，there are three smewhat autnmus(自治的)regins(地区)：England，Wales，and Sctland.
England
England is lcated in the suthern part f the island f Great Britain，which is part f the cuntry f the United Kingdm.The United Kingdm includes the administrative(行政的)regins f England，Wales，Sctland，and Nrthern Ireland.Each regin varies in its level f autnmy but all part f the United Kingdm.While England has traditinally been thught f as the heart f the United Kingdm，sme use the term“England” t refer t the entire cuntry，hwever，this is nt crrect.
Ireland
The nrthern ne sixth f the island f Ireland is the administrative regin f the United Kingdm knwn as Nrthern Ireland.The remaining suthern five sixths f the island f Irland is the independent cuntry knwn as the Republic f Ireland.
