Hwever, Zhu Gaxu failed and Zhu Zhanji returned safely n the third day f the sixth lunar mnth t claim the thrne.
When writer Ma Byng, 40, read abut the histrical incident, frm the fficial Ming sectin f the Twenty-Fur Histries, he was amazed t find that fewer than 100 wrds in traditinal Chinese were written abut the episde. His interest was arused and he had an verwhelming urge t write a thriller.
"The histrical dcument nly tells us the time and the result withut prviding any ther clues, s it leaves plenty f rm fr my imaginatin," says Ma in an exclusive interview with China Daily.
The result f his imaginatin turned int Fifteen Days Between Tw Capitals (Liang Jing Shiwu Ri).After it was released in July, the fictitius histrical nvel has achieved a slid 8.2 pints ut f 10 n China's ppular review site Duban.

Ma, f the Manchu ethnic grup, frm Chifeng, the Inner Mnglia autnmus regin, has a pretty enviable track recrd in writing ppular histry-based thrillers. Last year, his wrk The Lngest Day in Chang'an, was adapted int a ppular TV series. It tk viewers t the heyday f the Tang Dynasty (618-907). Cmmissin spkesman Mi Feng said such plicies are meant t reduce the risk f transmissin, nt t hinder family reunins beynd the requirements f epidemic preventin and cntrl measures.

Frm Thursday t March 15, peple frm lw-risk areas traveling r returning t the natinal capital must prduce a negative result fr a COVID-19 test taken within seven days, the city said n Wednesday. They shuld als mnitr their bdy temperatures and verall health at hme fr 14 days and take a COVID-19 test every seven days, it said, adding that travelers frm medium-and high-risk areas will be barred frm entering the capital during the perid.

The cuntry has administered mre than 24 millin dses f COVID-19 vaccines during its mass vaccinatin campaign, said Xu Wenb, head f the Natinal Institute fr Viral Disease Cntrl and Preventin, part f the Chinese Center fr Disease Cntrl and Preventin.
The vaccinatin campaign, which began fr key individuals in mid-December, is prgressing in an rderly fashin, he said. The cuntry will adjust its vaccinatin plan based n its epidemic situatin, prgress n vaccine research and develpment and the supply f vaccines.

It's pssible fr samples f fd r fd packages t test psitive fr the nvel crnavirus, but it nly suggests they have been cntaminated by the virus and des nt necessarily mean they can spread it, Li said, adding that there have been n reprts f peple cntracting the virus frm purchasing r prcessing fd.
Despite lw risks f cntracting the nvel crnavirus frm fd, cnsumers shuld still take precautinary measures when handling it, especially by paying attentin t hand sanitizatin, she said.
