在句子中起名词作用的各种从句,统称为名词性从句。根据它们在句中所起的语法作用,这类从句可分为:

名词性从句的语序必须是陈述语序,不能用疑问语序。如:Can yu tell me where he lives?(where he lives是陈述语序)The questin is hw I can persuade her t jin us in the party.
名词性从句的引导词名词性从句一般由以下词引导:连词 that, whether, if;连接代词 what, whatever, wh, whever, whm, whmever, whse, which, whichever等;连接副词 when, where, hw, why等。
在复合句中作主语的从句叫主语从句,其引导词有that, whether, wh, what, which, when, where, hw, why等。

注意:有时候可用it作形式主语,而将主语从句后置。
常用句型有:It’s certain/uncertain that...……是肯定的/不确定的It’s likely/pssible/prbable that...有可能……It’s a pity/shame that...很可惜/很遗憾……It’s n surprise that...……毫不奇怪/很正常It’s said/reprted/thught/believed that...据说/据报道/大家认为/人们相信……
宾语从句就是在复合句中作宾语的名词性从句
She always thinks f hw she can wrk well.她总是在想怎样能把工作做好。I wnder whether he will cme r nt.我想知道他来还是不来。I dn’t knw if (whether) it is interesting.我不知道它是否有趣。Please tell me what yu want.请告诉我你想要什么。She will give a hand t whever needs help.凡是需要帮助的人,她都会给予帮助。
①that引导宾语从句时,常被省去,但下列情况下不能省略:动词后跟有多个that引导的宾语从句时,只能省略第一个that;宾语从句前有插入语时;that引导的宾语从句位于句首时。I believe (that) he is hnest.我相信他是忠诚的。
②whether与r nt连用时,不能用if代替;介词后用whether引导宾语从句,不能用if。Everything depends n whether we have enugh mney.一切要看我们是否有足够的钱。
③如果动词find, feel, think, cnsider, make, believe, guess, suppse, assume等后有宾语补足语时,则需要用it作形式宾语,将宾语从句后置;有些动词(短语)后面接it,再加宾语从句构成固定结构,如enjy, hate, appreciate, rely n等。We must make it clear that anyne wh breaks the law will be punished.我们必须明确无论谁违反了法律都要受到惩罚。I hate it when I am left alne t start a cnversatin with a stranger.我讨厌被单独留下与一个陌生人开始交谈。

②常考的表语从句:This/That is why...(这/那就是……的原因);This/That is because...(这/那就是因为……);The reasn why... is that...(……的原因是……)。
①if不能引导表语从句;that引导表语从句时一般不能省略。
同位语从句主要由that引导,that在从句中不作任何成分,也可由 when, where, whether, hw等引导。同位语从句说明前面的名词的具体内容,常用的名词如:fact, news, idea, hpe, thught, questin, rder, fear, dubt, wrd, prf, belief, stry, pinin等。
