    语法讲练一、过去分词作表语1.意义位于系动词(如be, get, becme, lk, feel, seem等) 之后,多表示主语的状态或状况,它所体现的是形容词的特性。D 典例呈现She lked disappinted.她看上去很失望。We were encuraged at the news.听到这个消息我们很受鼓舞。
    2.过去分词作表语和现在分词作表语的区别

    3.过去分词作表语与被动语态的区别过去分词作表语时,强调主语所处的状态,而动词的被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者,强调动作。D 典例呈现The cup is brken.(系表结构) 杯子破了。The cup was brken by Tm.(被动语态) 杯子是被汤姆打破的。The stre is nw clsed.(系表结构) 商店现在关门了。The library is usually clsed at 8:00 p.m.(被动语态) 图书馆通常晚上八点关门。

    二、过去分词作状语◆过去分词作状语的语法意义1.语态方面从语态上讲,过去分词作状语表示被动意义,即分词所表示的动作与句子主语之间为动宾关系。D 典例呈现Built thirty years ag, the huse lks very beautiful.尽管这座房子是30年前(被) 建造的,但它看起来很漂亮。Lked at frm a distance, the painting seems much mre beautiful.当从远处看时,这幅画似乎更美了。
    2.时间方面:过去分词作状语表示被动动作的完成D 典例呈现Discussed many times, the prblems were settled at last.讨论多次之后这些问题终于解决了。Brken dwn n the high way, his car was carried away by the plice.他的车在高速公路上坏了,于是被警察拖走了。

    ◆过去分词作状语的句法功能1.作时间状语过去分词作时间状语时,相当于一个由when, while, after, nce等引导的时间状语从句。D 典例呈现Once published(=Once it is published),the dictinary will be very ppular.一旦出版,这本词典将大受欢迎。
    2.作原因状语过去分词作原因状语时,相当于一个由as,since,because等引导的原因状语从句。D 典例呈现Absrbed in painting(=Because he was absrbed in painting), Jhn didn't ntice evening appraching.由于专心画画,约翰没有注意到夜幕正在降临。
    3.作条件状语过去分词作条件状语时,相当于一个由if,unless等引导的条件状语从句。D 典例呈现Given anther hur(=If I am given anther hur),I can als wrk ut this prblem.如果再给我一个小时,我也能把这道题算出来。
    4.作让步状语过去分词作让步状语时,相当于一个由thugh,althugh,even if/thugh等引导的让步状语从句。D 典例呈现Beaten by the ppsite team(=Thugh we were beaten by the ppsite team),we didn't lse heart and encuraged each ther.虽然被对方的队打败了,但我们并没有灰心而是相互鼓励。
    5.作方式或伴随状语过去分词作方式或伴随状语时,可以转换成一个并列句。D 典例呈现The ld man gt n the bus,supprted by a girl(=and he was supprted by a girl).在一位姑娘的搀扶下,老人上了公共汽车。

    ◆使用过去分词作状语的注意事项1.过去分词作状语时,有时为了强调,前面可带有连词,如:when, while, if, thugh, as if, unless, until等,以使句意表达得更清楚。D 典例呈现Unless cnstantly repeated, the English wrds are easily frgtten.这些英语单词很容易被忘记,除非不断重复记忆。When asked why she came here, the girl kept silent.当有人问她为何来这儿时,那个女孩沉默不语。2.过去分词作状语时,其逻辑主语必须与句子的主语保持一致(现在分词作状语同样如此) ,否则需加上自己的逻辑主语,构成独立主格结构。
    D 典例呈现Given a chance, we can surprise the wrld.若给我们一个机会,我们会让世人惊奇。He was listening attentively in class,his eyes fixed n the blackbard.他上课专心听讲,眼睛紧盯着黑板。
    3.有些过去分词来源于系表结构,作状语时不表示被动而重在描述主语的状态。这样的过去分词及短语常见的有:lst(迷失的),seated(坐),hidden(隐藏的),lst/absrbed in(沉浸于),dressed in(穿着)等。D 典例呈现Lst in thught,he didn't hear the bell.由于陷入沉思之中,他没有听到铃声。
