    Ask students “Hw much d yu knw abut Ireland?” Students can put up their hands t answer.

    Ask the students t read the article describing the beauty f the Irish cuntryside with the first and secnd questins f activity 1.
    These tw questins belng t the literal cmprehensin prblem, carefully read the passage can find the answer.
    Q1: What makes the Irish cuntryside exciting and inspiring?
    Suggested answer: Its beauty and hw it ffers smething fr all the senses.
    Q2: What are the best ways t experience sme lrish traditins and culture?
    Suggested answer: By stpping by a village pub and relaxing with a drink and traditinal meal while listening t music and watching dancing.
    Step 3
    Students read the text fr the secnd time and find the text descriptin in answer t the third questin:
    “On a quiet mrning in the muntains, feel the sun n yur skin, and breathe in the sweet scent f fresh flwers while birds greet the new day with their mrning sng.” (Line 7-8)
    Step 4
    Let the students read this sentence several times, with their favrite way t experience the gd md.
    Students may read it alud. They can ask the cmpanin t read alud, neself clse the eyes meditatin experience. They can als use a few wrds after reading t draw the utline f a rural early mrning picture f birds and flwers.
    Read it again and again in the way yu like, and feel the beauty f it, try t describe it
    Suggested answer: It means t nt just smell but als breathe in the smell f fresh flwers early in the mrning as the birds sing their first sng f the new day.

    Intrduced the students t Irish traditinal culture and custms.

    Suggested answer: By travelling t different places and using all yur senses t experience everything and by interacting with lcal peple.

    Guides the students t analyze the structural characteristics f the descriptin.
    First f all, guide the students t pay attentin t the beginning and the end f the descriptin, let the students think abut the prblem: What intrductry sentences and ending sentences d yu usually use t describe a place?"

    Ending sentence: And if yu intrduce yurself t a friendly face, yu are mre than likely t experience lcal culture and custms first-hand.

    Ask students t write the senses and places in the rder that they appear. And describe sensry details

    First, wrk in pairs. Chse ne f yur favrite places and tell a partner why yu think it is interesting, exciting, r surprising.
    Next, use the questins belw t describe the place yu have chsen.
