2.朗读2b的文章,试着完成汉语翻译。
3.跟着录音朗读文章。
二、预习检测
根据句意及汉语提示完成单词
1.My purpose (目的) to exercise is to keep healthy.
2.I’m very glad to receive (收到) my students’ flowers.
3.He expressed (表示) his thanks to him with a warm hug this morning.
4.They waved their hands to celebrate their victory (胜利).
课堂教学
Step 1 Leading in
1.Greet the class.
2.Show the picture of Section B:
T:What is the alien doing while the man is running?
S1:It’s running after the man.
T:Are they running at the same time?
S2:Yes,the alien is running while the man is running.
T:Yeah,not only the man is running but also the alien is running.Do both of them feel scared?
S3:The man feels scared but the alien doesn’t.
T:Why does the man feel scared?
S4:Because the alien is running after him.
3.Write down the linking words on the board.
Step 2 Work on 2a
1.Ask “What do these linking words mean and what are their purpose?”
2.Lead the students to look at the frame in 2a.Make them match and learn these words.
Step 3 Work on 2b-2c
1.Show the picture in 2b.Ask “Do you know the name of this place?” and let the students skim the passage for the main ideas of this passage.
2.Let the students read the passage again quickly.Ask them to underline the linking words in the passage and learn how to use them.
3.Ask the students to read the passage carefully and tell the main idea of each paragraph.
4.Lead them to learn the new words and expressions and show how to use them.
5.Make the students try to find out the answers to the questions in 2c.
Step 4 Work on 2d-2e
1.Ask the students to use proper linking words to fill in the blanks in 2d.
2.Get the students to repeat these sentences using another linking word.
3.Make the students work on 2e.

本课时主要任务是阅读2b的文章,通过文章的学习,学生了解了巨石阵的相关背景知识,拓展了学生的文化视野,让学生更多地了解英语国家的文化和一些名胜古迹。在语法方面,本课时主要学习了一些连接词的用法和使用目的,另外还巩固学习了情态动词表推测的用法。学生对于世界上的一些未解之谜表现出了很大的兴趣,在一定程度上也让学生对本课时的记忆更加深刻。在本节课上,老师起到了很好的引导作用,特别是对背景知识这一块,老师在课前要做好充分的准备工作。
