2)He's wearing a suit.

【解读】 suit   n. 西服；套装

【 注意】suit作名词指“套装”时，可用词组a suit of clothes表达“一套衣服”，一般含外套、背心和裤子。注意：不可说a suit of cloth；suit通常用作可数名词,  基本意思是“一套衣服”, 通常指用同一料子做成的男子的短上衣和裤子或女子的短上衣和裙子。

翻译：我哥哥穿一身新西服去参加晚会。

我想给我女儿买套衣服。

【拓展】suit作为动词时，意为“适合”，无被动语态，且不用于进行时。其宾语是人时，侧重指“对某人方便；满足某人需要；合某人心意”。它还表示“（尤指服装、颜色等）相配；合身”。suit sth. to sth./sb表示“使适合（或适应）某事物（或人）”。其形容词形式为suitable，意为“适合的，适宜的”，be suitable for意为“适合……”。

eg: This house suits my parents well.这套房子很合我父母的心意。

      He had the ability to suit his performances to the audience.

      他有能力使自己的表演迎合观众的口味。

       The toy is not suitable for young children. 这个玩具不适合小孩玩。

3）Why do you think the man is running? 你认为这个人为什么在跑？

【解读】本句为“疑问词+do you think+其他”构成的特殊疑问句，其中do you think为插入语。在这种结构中，如果特殊疑问词在句中作主语，特殊疑问句语序不需要变化；如果特殊疑问词在句中不作主语，特殊疑问句用陈述语序。

翻译：你认为谁是你们班最高的？

你认为我们应该去哪儿度假？

4）He might be running to catch a bus to work.

他也许是跑着赶公共汽车去上班。

【解读】catch动词，意为“赶上”，其过去式、过去分词均为caught。catch a bus意为“赶上公共汽车”。 常用短语catch up with sb.意为“赶上某人”。

He ran quickly to catch the bus. 为赶上公共汽车他飞快地跑。
