一、教学目标
1. 巩固本模块核心词汇和重点短语。
2. 巩固复习并列复合句。
3. 能够阅读和理解Arund the wrld短文。
4. 能够成为一名优秀的课程设计者，给同学设计最好的课程。
5. 懂得如何为别人介绍和选择课程，并乐于听取他人国内外的学习经历。
6. 通过了解北美国家夏令营的情况来加强对国际文化的理解。
二、教学重点及难点
重点：

2. 懂得如何为别人介绍和选择课程。
难点:
能够为别人推荐和选择课程。
三、教学准备

Step I Warming-up
Grammar exercises
D sme grammar exercises t review the grammar learned in last class and check the answers tgether.
设计意图：通过语法练习，帮助学生检测上节课所学的掌握情况，为新课做铺垫。
Free talk
1. Have a free talk with Ss.
Summer hliday is cming. Where are yu ging?
设计意图：通过与学生的自由交谈，快速引入新课的同时也训练了学生的反应。
2. Play a game.
Have the students make sentences with “but, and, r” ne by ne abut travelling in grups.
eg. I wuld like t g t Australia and I can see the kangars.
设计意图：让学生做句子接龙游戏，使学生在轻松愉快的过程中对and, r, but引导的并列复合句有进一步认识。
Step II Presentatin
Grammar
并列复合句是指由并列连词and, r, but等把两个或两个以上的简单句连在一起而构成的句子。并列复合句中，并列连词前后的简单句可以表示不同的关系。
主要学习以下三种关系：
注意：
◆并列复合句有时可不用连词，而用分号隔开(前后两句的关系须相当紧密)。
如：Jenny desn’t like apples; she likes ranges.
◆并列连词后面的简单句如果与前面的简单句有相同的部分，则相同的部分常可省略。
如：Mr. Wang will g t Beijing tmrrw, but Mrs. Wang wn’t.
设计意图：再次呈现语法旨在对前一单元语法知识的复习巩固，提醒学生对话中注意连词的用法，深层感知连词的用法。

设计意图：通过以对话的形式帮助学生巩固本模块的重点单词及短语，同时训练学生的阅读能力，并帮助学生进一步了解英语国家的文化。

1. Read the questins with the class befre listening, ask Ss what they can tell abut the recrding
frm the questins.
2. Ask fr sme pssible answers s that they have a fcus when listening.
3. Play the recrding fr Ss t listen t and answer the questins.
4. Ask students t cmpare answers with a partner and then play again fr them t check.
5. Check the answers as a whle class.
设计意图：通过回答问题的形式，训练学生从听力材料中提取细节信息的能力。

2. Ask Ss t cmpare answers with a partner. Then play the recrding fr them t cmplete and check their answers.
3. Check the answers as a class.
设计意图：本活动是活动7的延续，要求再次听录音，训练学生的速记能力。

Mdule task
1. Have Ss plan what they want t say abut summer curses then think abut the answers t the fllwing questins.
2. Have Ss write tw gd things and tw bad things abut taking summer curses.
3. Have Ss take part in the class discussin.
4. Have Ss wrk in pairs and write sentences describing the cnclusins f the class discussin. Say if they agree r disagree with the cnclusin.
设计意图：目的是让学生运用所学知识深入谈论本模块主题，进而培养学生运用语言的能力，
使英语学习真正地延伸到了课堂之外，达到学以致用的目的。
Step = 4 \* ROMAN V Summary
并列复合句是由两个或两个以上并列而又独立的简单句构成。
两个简单句由并列连词and, but, r连在一起；有时不用连接词，只在两个简单句之间用逗号或分号。
e.g. Jane has kept the bk fr three days and she must return it tmrrw.
The by fell ff the bike, but he didn’t hurt.
设计意图：带领学生梳理所学知识，方便学生课后巩固复习。

常由and连接，前后简单句的时态往往保持一致。

选择关系
常由r（或者）连接，表示在两者之间选择一个，前后简单句的时态往往保持一致。

转折关系
常由but连接，前后简单句的时态往往保持一致。
