    Teaching aims:
    1. Listening and understanding the plt develpment f Alice’s Adventures in Wnderland. Understanding the majr characters and events.
    2. Participating in a rle-play with the teacher’s guidance.
    3. Reading and understanding the sequence f events in Alice’s Adventures in Wnderland.
    4. Writing a shrt passage abut what happened after Alice fell dwn the rabbit hle.
    Teaching imprtant and difficult pints:
    Key vcabulary: twice, nce r twice, suddenly, pink, pcket, field, think abut, deep, while, land, dry
    Keys structure: Past cntinuus: was / were + v-ing
    Teaching Steps:
    Step 1 Warming-up.
    1. Enjy a play: Alice’s Adventures in Wnderland.
    2. Review the text f Unit 1.
    3. Shw sme pictures.
    4. Lk at the pictures, and talk smething abut the pictures.
    Step 2 Wrk in pairs.
    1. Ask the students t lk at the picture in activity 2 and say what yu think is strange.
    2. Intrduce the new wrds.
    3. Learn the new wrds.
    4. Read the new wrds.
    Step 3 Reading.
    1. Play the recrding and listen t the tape carefully.
    2. Read the start f Alice’s Adventures in Wnderland and guesses what happens next.
    3. Ask the students t read thrugh the passage.
    4. Read the passage by themselves.
    5. Read the text tgether.
    Step 4 Number the events in the rder.
    1. Read the passage again.
    2. Number the events in the rder they happened in Activity 3.
    a) Alice landed n sme dry leaves.
    b) Alice was sitting by the river with her sister.
    c) Alice fell dwn a hle.
    d) A rabbit ran by.
    e) Alice ran acrss the field after the rabbit.
    3. Check with a partner.
    4. Call back the answers frm the whle class.
