1.Warm-up .Sing a song .Spelling game: Spell the words in teams 2.Presentation 1. Play the song once. Have the children touch the words as they listen. And then ask some question about the song. T: What can you see in the picture? Where do they go? Ss: I can see movie. They go the the movies. Present the flashcard Movie. Explain the meanings and repeat it after you. Explain Let’s go to the movie. Then, ask the children make a new sentence. Eg: Let’s go to the zoo…. Repeat the same procedure and present other new words: amusement park museum, money, bus, dinosaur… 2. Production: .Ask the children make some sentences : Let’s go to the zoo. I can see dinosaur in the zoo. I go to the zoo by bus. .Return to the song. Listen to the tape again, this time stopping after each line. Have the children practice singing each line after they hear it on the tape. .Create a new song. 3.Practice: Direct the children’s attention to the pictures. Have the children talk about the picture in pairs. Explain to the children that they will hear a sentence on the tape and they must match it to the correct picture. 4.Summary: Have the children open the books at page40.As you play the tape, have the children touch the matching words. Play the tape again, stopping after each word. Have the children repeat the words after hearing them on the tape. 5. Homework Listen and repeat the words. Copy the new words.

Sing a song Game: Hot seat
Draw their attention to the amusement park on top of the page. Show your copy of the page. Ask the children what they think Mocky is thinking about. Ask, “Where do you think Mocky wants to go?” Try to elicit to the amusement park. .Elicit the model structures: Let’s go to the amusement park. Do we have enough time? Shall we go to a movie? .Read aloud the dialog in pairs 3. Production: Divide the class into two groups. One group is Mocky and the other group is Ken. Have them repeat the dialog. .Encourage the children to substitute different suggestions for Let’s go to ____. They can use the examples given in Word to learn. .Model four situations: Movie theater, amusement park, swim city and green park. Have the children chose one to make a dialogue.
4.Practice: Have them talk about the five pictures. Listen and repeat the sentences. Listen again and number the pictures. 5.Summary: Look at Uncle Booky’s Blackboard, read aloud it. 6.Homework Listen and repeat the text. Copy the new structures.

Sing a song Game: Hot seat
Set the scene. In Chinese ask the children what they usually do on Sunday. Ask them if they like to go to the movies, or to an amusement park. Present the movies on page38.Have the children touch the words and the structures as they listen. Look at the pictures and answer some questions: What can you see in the pictures? What do they do? Do they go to the movie theater? What time does the movie start? Do they have enough money? Shall they go to the museum? Can they see dinosaurs there? What time does museum close? Play the tape again and have the children look at the pictures as they listen. Pausing at each picture. Have the children repeat the words each time. 3.Production: Divide the class into two groups. Have them repeat the dialog. Encourage the children to act. 4.Practice: Tell them that Mocky is inviting Peter to go to the museum together. Point to the speech bubble and encourage the children to read the sentence. Then the teacher read aloud and have the children repeat. Point to the table below the pictures. Tell the children that they need to plan three activities for the coming weekend. And write them in the table. 5.Homework Listen and repeat the text Retell the story. |
