3. Production:

Divide the class into two groups. One group is Mocky and the other group is Ken. Have them repeat the dialog.

.Model four situations: Movie theater, amusement park, swim city and green park. Have the children chose one to make a dialogue.

4.Practice:

Have them talk about the five pictures.

Listen and repeat the sentences.

Listen again and number the pictures.

Set the scene. In Chinese ask the children what they usually do on Sunday. Ask them if they like to go to the movies, or to an amusement park.

Present the movies on page38.Have the children touch the words and the structures as they listen.

Look at the pictures and answer some questions:

 What can you see in the pictures?

 What do they do?

 Do they go to the movie theater?

 What time does the movie start? Do they have enough money?

 Shall they go to the museum?

 Can they see dinosaurs there?

 What time does museum close?

Play the tape again and have the children look at the pictures as they listen.

Pausing at each picture. Have the children repeat the words each time.

3.Production:

Divide the class into two groups. Have them repeat the dialog.

Encourage the children to act.

    4.Practice:

Tell them that Mocky is inviting Peter to go to the museum together.

Point to the speech bubble and encourage the children to read the sentence. Then the teacher read aloud and have the children repeat.

Point to the table below the pictures. Tell the children that they need to plan three activities for the coming weekend. And write them in the table.

.Draw the children’s attention to the pictures in the book. Explain to the children that they will hear words that have the /air/sound.

Play the tape and have children say the words aloud.

Check that the children’s pronunciation is correct by asking individual child to repeat the words after you or after the tape.

3.Production:

Show your copy of the page and point to the first row of pictures. Tell the children that three of the words have an /air/ sound in them but on word doesn’t. Have the children find out.

Play the first four words on the tape. Have the children point to each picture illustrating a word with an /air/ sound as they hear the word.

Play the tape again. This time have the children cross the word that doesn’t have the /air/ sound.

Repeat the procedure for the second row.

5. reading exercises

Now direct their attention to the text. Have them read the text by themselves silently.

Read the text slowly again to the children. Ask children which picture matches these paragraph.

Look at the second activity. Tell them to answer the questions. And that the text contains the information for the questions.

Tell the children that we are going to learn a chant. Have children open their books and look at the pictures at the top of this page.

Play the chant straight through. Then ask children what they heard in the tape. Elicit answers from children.

Play the tape again. This time only play the first part. Explain the meaning for the children.

Repeat with the second part.

Play the tape again, stopping after each line. Have the children repeat.

Play the tape without stop. Have children say the chant together.
