Liu Xiaju was brn in 1987 in Ludi, Hunan Prvince. She has 1 (face) many difficulties since a yung age. 2 rare disease makes her bnes very weak.

They read bks t the peple in these places, r they just visit them and play games with them r listen t 2 (they) prblems.
Sme peple vlunteer and wrk in the hmes f peple 3 are sick r ld. They paint, clean up, r repair their huses, d their 4 (shp) r mw their lawns (草坪). In China, many parents wrk in cities and leave their children behind. Withut full care, these left-behind children face many prblems. Sme feel lnely, sme have difficulty in imprving their studies, and thers even get 1 a difficult situatin.
T help these children, the All-China Wmen’s Federatin* started 2 prgram. It lks fr kind wmen acrss China t vlunteer as mms fr left-behind children.
In Gansu Prvince, ver 42,000 wmen wuld like t serve as vlunteer mms. One f these 3 (vlunteer) is Li Dan. 29-year-ld Li cares fr a primary schl student named Chenchen.
Li’s heart was 4 (break) as sn as (一……就) she saw Chenchen. The girl was thin and refused t talk t her. Li 5 (understand) that the children grwing up in such a situatin culdn’t trust thers 6 (easy). But Li didn’t give up. Every time she visited the girl, she brught gifts, helped with her hmewrk and rganized fun activities. In a hairdresser’s (理发店) in Changsha, peple can pay just 3 yuan t have their hair cut. Its 1 (wn) is 71-year-ld Tang Jinlian. She uses her service t shw her 2 (kind).
Tang’s daughter became sick at the age f 3. They gt much help 3 thers. Tang then learned t cut hair and prmised t help thers.
In 2004, Tang mved t Changsha and started t give hair-cutting service in a vegetable market. Hi there! I’m Hannah Finn, and I started One Wish Prject when I was 14. I wanted t d smething meaningful that wuld help thers.
I live clse t ne f 1 prest cities in Massachusetts, and many families there dn’t have enugh mney t have birthday parties fr their kids.
2 I made the decisin t use my lve fr baking (烘焙) t bring a little happiness t these kids. I started 3 baking cakes fr eight kids in ne shelter (收容所). It was a small start, but it felt s gd t see the lk f jy n 4 (they) faces. Then, I thught they shuld als get gifts. S, I bught them gifts, letting them chse what they 5 (want).

Just as the saying ges, “Rses given, fragrance in hand.” Vlunteering is gd fr peple in need and fr ur sciety. Vlunteers have played an active rle in many things. S d yu want t be a vlunteer? Here is sme 1 (advice) fr yu if yu want t vlunteer.
First, there are s many peple in need—the ld, the yung, 2 sick and the pr. If yu are gd with children, yu culd teach them hw 3 (read). If yu care abut the hmeless, it is a gd idea t help make and give ut fd. 4 yu are utging, g t the hspital and cheer 5 the sick peple. In a wrd, there is always smething fr yu.
6 (tw), it’s nt difficult t find that vlunteers are needed in many 7 (difference) places. Cmmunities, libraries, ld peple’s hmes, lcal animal centers, sprts teams and after-schl prgrams are all gd chices fr yu.

Last mnth, I jined a vlunteer grup called “Hme fr Stray Animals”. At first, I didn’t knw if I culd d the wrk well, because I had never lked after animals befre. My friend tld me 1 was nt difficult if I put my heart int it.
The first day I went t the animal shelter, I 2 (feel) very nervus. But the wrkers there were very kind, and they taught me hw t lk after the sick and hmeless animals. It’s ur duty 3 (give) fd and clean water t them every day, and we als play with them t make them feel happy.
