When I was in primary schl, I met a by named Liu Ta in my class. He was brn with a disability in his left leg, s he culdn’t walk as f 1 as ther children. At first, many kids laughed at him, and he felt very lnely and sad.
I tld my mther abut this, and she e 2 me t be friends with him and help him. Frm then n, I walked t schl with him every day, and helped him carry his schlbag. When we had PE class, I stayed with him and played games that he culd take part in. I als r 3 my classmates nt t laugh at him, and t be kind t him.
Little by little, mre and mre classmates jined me t help Liu Ta. He became mre c 4 and utging. He even tk part in the schl’s speech cmpetitin, and wn the third prize. He said that all f us had g 5 him the curage t stand n the stage.
This experience has i 6 my life a lt. I learned that everyne is equal, and we shuld respect peple n matter what they lk like r what difficulties they have. I als learned that a small kind act can make a big d 7 t smene’s life.
Nw, we are bth in high schl, and we are still best friends. We ften take part in vlunteer activities tgether, t help mre disabled peple like Liu Ta. We want t tell them that they can a 8 their dreams as lng as they never give up.
We never knw hw ur kindness will influence thers, but it’s always wrth t 9 . If everyne can give a little lve t the peple arund them, the wrld will becme a much b 10 place.

When I was furteen years ld, I started vlunteering at a lcal hspital. My jb was t help the v 1 find their way arund. Many peple came t the hspital fr the first time and felt l 2 r wrried. I wuld smile and ask, “Can I help yu?”
One day, an ld man came in. He was hlding a piece f paper with a dctr’s name n it. His hands were s 3 as he tried t read the paper. I walked up t him and asked if he needed help. He lked at me with watery eyes and said, “I can’t find my way. My wife is in the hspital, and I want t see her.”
I tk his arm gently and led him t the right flr. Alng the way, we talked. He tld me they had been m 4 fr fiftytw years. His vice was full f lve and wrry.
When we reached his wife’s rm, he turned t me and said, “Thank yu. Yu are very kind.” His smile made my heart warm.
That small mment taught me smething i 5 . Vlunteering isn’t abut ding big things. It’s abut shwing kindness when it is needed. Smetimes a smile, a gentle wrd, r a helping hand can make a huge d 6 t smene’s day.
After that, I began t lk fr mre ways t help. I helped c 7 fd fr the hmeless, read stries t children at the library, and visited elderly peple wh lived a 8 . Each time, I felt a sense f jy that I had never e 9 befre.
Nw I am seventeen, and I still vlunteer every week. I believe that everyne has the pwer t make the wrld a little brighter. Yu dn’t need t be s 10 r rich. Yu just need t care.
