As adults, fear is smething we feel we have t carry alne, afraid t share it because it might make us seem weak.
This is especially true fr business leaders. Fear can be perceived as a lack f belief. But the truth is, trying smething new and pushing beynd the familiar is always ging t be scary.
Launching a startup, develping a new prduct, r stepping int a new market means navigating the unknwn. N matter hw much we plan, there’s always uncertainty. And that uncertainty brings fear—whether it’s the fear f failing, being judged, r facing rejectin.

smething t avid r ignre, but rather smething t treat as helpful infrmatin.
When yu stp running frm fear and start wrking with it, amazing things can happen. By feeling yur fear, examining its surce, speaking ut yur needs, and reflecting n the experience, yu can transfrm this natural respnse int a pwerful driver f persnal and prfessinal
      prgress.

14 .Which f the fllwing statements des the authr agree with?

根据Fresh greens 标题下“Leafy greens, like spinach, will ck unevenly and are very likely t burn due t the air fryer’s high-speed air.(像菠菜这样的绿叶蔬菜,由于空气炸锅的高速空气,会烹饪不均匀,而且很容易烧焦)”可知,不建议在空气炸锅里烹饪新鲜绿叶蔬菜如菠菜是因为它们烹饪不均匀且容易烧焦。故选 B。
根据 Whle rasts 标题下“The rast will nt ck evenly, with the part clsest t the heat surce likely t burn by the time the part furthest away is safe t eat. The prblem
根据 Cheese 标题下“placing cheese in it withut sme srt f cating will just melt the cheese int a puddle and create a mess yu dn’t want t clean up.(把奶酪放进去,如果没有某种涂层,奶酪就会融化成一滩,弄得一团糟,你不想清理)”和 Battered fds 标题下“Aside frm the bvius mess it will create, wet batter wn’t set the way it des when it’s

根据第一段“She was heartbrken, but thinking smene must have taken it away, she gave up the idea f ging back t lk fr it and didn’t phne the statin t ask abut it.(她很伤心,但想到一定是有人把它拿走了,她放弃了回去找它的想法,也没有打电话向电台询问。)”
根据第二段“Nyma explained where he fund the lst purse and said he decided t drive straight t her huse s she wuldn’t have t experience an extra mment f panic.(Nyma解释了他在哪里找到了丢失的钱包,并说他决定直接开车去她家,这样她就不用再经历额外的恐慌了。)”

根据第三段“He simply asked her t pay it frward, and explained that it was n truble fr him thugh Gergia knew he needed t drive hurs t her huse.(他只是让她把爱传递出去,并解释说,虽然乔治娅知道他需要开车几个小时到她家,但这对他来说并不麻
The vide has gt millins f views and we hpe he will be a
      psitive influence n many.(这段视频已经被观看了数百万次,我们希望他能对很多人产生积极的影响。)”

This huge wden Swedish Prtestant church, built in 1912, is t be slwly rlled t its new hme ver tw days, half a kilmetre per hur. The mve is part f a
huge multi-decade prject t relcate the whle Arctic twn as the irn mine weakens the grund, threatening the survival f the twn.(这座始建于 1912 年的瑞典新教木质大教堂,将用两天时间整体平移至新址,移动速度为每小时 0.5 公里。
根据第三段中“The expansin has attracted criticism, including frm the Sami cmmunity, wh fear that the divisin f the land wuld make reindeer herding (放牧驯鹿) hard, threatening the lcal bidiversity. Karin K Niia, a reindeer wner, warned the mve was “a big

Fredrikssn, wh hsted a pdcast n lcal news, was happy, at least, that the church had been
saved, and hadn’t ended up “as wdchips.”(铁矿扩建计划引发了不少批评声,其中就包括萨米原住民社区。
The mining cmpany said the mve was necessary fr the church t cntinue t exist and stressed it sught “cnstructive slutins” when mining affected
reindeer herding; its CEO, Jan Mström, said the relcatin wrk had cst mre than half a billin krnr and that ifthe mine is t remain, the city center must mve.(这家矿业公司表示,这次迁移对于教堂的继续存在是必要的,并强调在采矿影响驯鹿放牧时,它寻求“建设性的解决方案”;该公司首席执行官 Jan Mström 说,搬迁工作耗资超过 5 亿瑞典克朗,如果矿区要保留,市中心就必须搬迁。)” 故选 A。
通读全文,尤其是根据第一段中“After eight years f planning and a cst f mre than £39 millin, a Swedish church, Kyrka, began a slw 5km jurney n Tuesday t make way fr the expansin f Eurpe’s biggest undergrund mine (矿区).(经过 8 年的规划和超过

根据第五段“In additin t fast-acting neurtransmitters (神经递质), yur brain als uses neurpeptides (神经肽), which act mre slwly but help adjust yur fear respnse,
making sure yu stay aware f ptential risks.(除了快速作用的神经递质,你的大脑还使用神经肽,它的作用更慢,但有助于调整你的恐惧反应,确保你保持对潜在风险的意识。)”
Fear itself is nt bad. It’s a natural respnse designed t prtect yu. In fact, as ne f ur ldest survival mechanisms, it can even be healthy. It can help avid casual
decisins, heighten ur awareness, and fuel ur mtivatin.(恐惧本身并不坏。 以及第八段“Making friends with fear means recgnizing that it’s nt smething t avid r ignre, but rather smething t treat as
      helpful infrmatin.(与恐惧交朋友意味着认识到它不是要避免或忽视的东西,而是要把它当作有用的信息来对待。)”
In fact, as ne f ur ldest survival mechanisms, it can even be healthy. It can help avid casual decisins, heighten ur awareness, and fuel ur
。故选 A。

17 .上文“When yu have simple habits that help yu see what is happening, make thughtful
decisins, and feel prepared fr what cmes next, yur stress begins t sften. These supprtive

E 项中的 It 与上文中的“A spending plan”相呼应,且“nt ’s abut...”
19 .上文“Recrding yur incme and spending is a pwerful way t create emtinal clarity. In this way, yu can see what is happening with yur mney.(记录你的收入和支出是一种获得情感清晰的有效方法。 G 项中的 it 与上文中的“what is happening with yur mney”相呼应,且“remve the guesswrk”与前文的“see what is happening”形成对应。故选 G。
20.下文“It is mre than a savings accunt. It is a sense f security. Knwing yu have smething set aside, even if it starts very small, can sften yur stress in a nticeable way.(它不仅仅是一个储蓄账户。
