In ur daily life, many peple tend t shy away frm difficulties, chsing the cmfrt f familiarity ver the unknwn. Hwever, facing challenges can unlck unexpected grwth and
pprtunities. Fr me, saying “yes” t new challenges has been a key t self-imprvement, even when fear tried t hld me back.
An example lies in my experience with learning the pian. At the age f 12, I was invited t jin a schl pian recital (独奏会). I had nly played simple pieces and had never perfrmed in frnt f an audience. My hands trembled at the thught f sitting n that stage, but smething
inside me whispered, “What if I can?” S I tk a deep breath and said “yes” .
Practicing was far frm easy. The piece I chse had cmplicated meldies (旋律). There
were nights when I wanted t quit, frustrated by my mistakes. But each time I felt like giving up, I reminded myself why I’d said “yes” in the first place: nt t be perfect, but t grw. Gradually,
the music began t flw. On the day f the recital, thugh nervus, I played cnfidently. The applause afterward wasn’t just fr the perfrmance — it was fr the curage t try.
Lking back, I realize that saying “n” wuld have kept me in a safe but unchanging and inactive place. By facing the challenge, I gained nt nly pian skills but als the belief that I
culd vercme fears. This experience taught me that challenges are nt bstacles but stepping stnes. They push us beynd ur limits and shw strengths we never knew we had.
In a wrld that ften encurages staying within ur cmfrt znes, dare t say “yes” t new adventures. Whether it’s learning a new skill, jining a cmpetitin, r helping smene in need, each “yes” is a chance t grw. Remember, grwth begins at the end f yur cmfrt zne.

C .Her family was expecting a great perfrmance. D .The recital was t imprtant t miss.
26 .What des the authr encurage readers t d?
A .Try t learn sme new skills. B .Face new challenges bravely.
C .Take n difficult tasks. D .Help thers in truble.
27 .What is the main idea f the text?

It happens frm time t time that after a whle mrning f studying,yu are tired in the afternn. It’s then that yu might want t eat smething sweet, perhaps a chclate bar t lift yur md. After all, it’s ppularly believed that a “sugar rush” gives us energy.
But a study published in Neurscience& Bibehaviral Reviews suggests that sugar can
make us feel wrse rather than bst ur mds.
The German and UK researchers cllected data frm 31 studies invlving nearly 1, 300 adults. They studied the effect f sugar n varius aspects f the md, including anger,
depressin and tiredness. They fund that peple wh have t much sugar becme mre tired within an hur, and that these feelings becme mre intense (强烈的) ver time.
Accrding t the researchers, when peple take in sugar, their bld sugar levels rise
rapidly, leading t a burst f energy and a shrt perid f feeling gd. Hwever, as they begin t digest (消化) the sugar, their bld sugar levels decrease quickly, leading t a bad feeling.
T remain n a “high”, peple are likely t eat mre and mre sugar until they becme
addicted t it. As with caffeine, this prevents the bdy frm relaxing, leaving peple feeling tired.
But the study findings dn’t mean we must give up sweet fd altgether. Accrding t the Wrld Health Organizatin, it is healthy t have the sugars fund naturally in fruit, vegetables and milk, as lng as these make up less than 5 percent f daily ttal energy intake.
S the next time yu feel tired and can’t cncentrate, perhaps yu shuld think twice befre yu bite int a chclate bar.

In s many ways, cyberspace mirrrs the real wrld. Peple ask fr infrmatin, play
games, and share hbby tips. Others buy and sell prducts. Still thers lk fr friendship, r even lve.
Sme Internet users want mre than just smene t chat with. They’re lking fr serius lve relatinships. Is cyberspace a gd place t find lve? That answer depends n whm yu
ask. Sme f these relatinships actually succeed. Others end in tears.
Unlike the real wrld, hwever, yur knwledge abut a persn is limited t (限于) wrds n a cmputer screen. Identity (身份) and appearance mean very little in cyberspace. Rather, a
persn’s thughts r at least the thughts they type are what really cunts. S even the shyest persn can becme a chat-rm star.
Usually, this "faceless" cmmunicatin desn’t create prblems. Identity desn’t really
matter when yu’re in a chat-rm discussing plitics r hbbies. In fact, this fcus n the ideas themselves makes the Internet a great place fr exciting cnversatin. Where else can s many peple cme tgether t chat?
Supprters f nline relatinships say that the Internet allws cuples t get t knw each ther intellectually first. Persnal appearance desn’t get in the way.
But critics (批评者) f nline relatinships argue that n ne can truly knw anther persn in cyberspace. Why? Because the Internet gives users a lt f cntrl ver hw thers view them. Internet users can carefully chse their wrds t fit whatever image they want t give. And they dn’t have t wrry abut what their “nnverbal (不用语言表达的)” cmmunicatin is ding fr their image. In a sense, they’re nt really themselves. All f this may be fine if the relatinship
stays in cyberspace. But nt knwing a persn is a big prblem in a lve relatinship. With s many unknwns, it’s easy t let ne’s imaginatin “fill in the blanks” . This surely leads t
disappintment when cuples meet in persn. Hw smene imagines an nline friend is ften quite different frm the real persn.
S, befre lking fr lve in cyberspace, remember the advice f Internet pineer Cliffrd Stll, “Life in the real wrld is far richer than anything yu’ll find n a cmputer screen.”
32 .Which f the fllwing sentences is NOT true accrding t the critics?
A .Nbdy can truly knw anther persn in cyberspace.
B .Internet users can chse their wrds t create any image they want t give.
C .The Internet allws cuples t knw hw intelligent they are.
D .In a sense, Internet users are nt really themselves.
33 .Even the shyest persn can becme a chat-rm star because what really cunts is a persn’s
.
______
A .nnverbal cmmunicatin
B .identity shwn in the chat
C .knwledge and appearance
D .thughts typed n the screen
34 .The underlined wrd “This” (Paragraph 6) refers t .
A .having exciting cnversatins nline
B .imagining nline friends with s many unknwns
C .frming persnal relatinship in cyberspace

根据第六段中的“But critics (批评者) f nline relatinships argue that n ne can truly knw anther persn in cyberspace. Why? Because the Internet gives users a lt f

而 C 项“互联网让情侣了解彼此有多聪明”是第五段“Supprters f nline relatinships say that the Internet allws
cuples t get t knw each ther intellectually first. Persnal appearance desn’t get in the
根据第三段中的“Identity (身份) and appearance mean very little in cyberspace. Rather, a persn’s thughts r at least the thughts they type are what really cunts. S even the
shyest persn can becme a chat-rm star.(在网络空间中,身份和外表其实并不重要。
All f this may be fine if the relatinship stays in cyberspace. But nt knwing a persn is a big prblem in a lve relatinship. With s many unknwns, it’s

根据最后一段“S, befre lking fr lve in cyberspace, remember the advice f Internet pineer Cliffrd Stll, “Life in the real wrld is far richer than anything yu’ll find n a cmputer screen.”(所以,在进入网络世界寻找爱情之前,请先听听互联网先驱克利福德·斯托尔的这番忠告:“现实世界中的生活远比你在电脑屏幕上所能看到的丰富得多。”)”

Huangshan-based lacquerware artist Gan Erke’s life
主语是单数,所以用 has been devted。故填 has been devted。
此处为非限制性定语从句,先行词是 a lcal arts and crafts factry,关系词在从句中作地点状语,相当于 in the factry,所以用关系副词 where 引导。故填 where。
achieving。
wrks。
故填 and。
故填 like。
