      During the ht and dry summer last year, my familyexperienced the first natural disaster f ur lives. Wewere hiking in the muntains when lightning flashedacrss the sky. The sky gt darker and darker. Andthen we realized that we weren’t lking at cluds. Itwas smke! There was a wildfire!
      Last winter, my family had a terrifying experience. Itstarted ne evening while we were enjying a quiet night at hme. My parents were watching TV while my brther was ding his hmewrk. I, n the ther hand, was glued t my bedrm windw. Thick snw was falling and the wrld utside was grwing whiter and whiter.

Thrughut his career, the engineer chased dwn mre than 120 trnades. Often, he filmed the strms while they were happening just a few kilmetres away.

On 31 May 2013, Samaras and his team were chasing the El Ren trnad in Oklahma, USA. T their surprise, the trnad behaved in an unexpected way. It grew rapidly and changed its speed and directin.
