      用法归纳①意为“太……而不能……”,表示      意义。②若在该结构中使用形容词kind、ready、anxius、glad、pleased、delighted、easy、will-ing、eager等,则往往表示      意义,此时t前通常有nly、all、but、simply、just等词修饰,相当于very。
       结构拓展“cannt+动词+t+形容词/副词”意为“再……也不过分,越……越好”。•Yu cannt be t careful when crssing the street.你穿过街道时,越小心越好。
      由关系副词引导的限制性定语从句定语从句可以由关系副词引导,引导定语从句的关系副词主要有when、where、why等,关系副词在定语从句中作状语。
      一、when引导的限制性定语从句
      情景导学Occasins are quite rare when I stay with my kids.I still remember the day when I first came t this schl.They are still grwing, and night is the time when their bdies grw faster.
      用法归纳关系副词when引导的限制性定语从句可以修饰time、mment、day、mnth、year、perid、week、age、stay、ccasin等表示①      的先行词,关系副词when在从句中作②         状语。
      二、where引导的限制性定语从句
      情景导学Keep the bks in a place where yu can find them easily.I have reached a pint in my life where I am suppsed t make decisins n my wn.Thse successful deaf dancers think that dancing is an activity where sight matters mre than hearing.
      用法归纳关系副词where引导的限制性定语从句可以修饰place、spt、huse、city、cuntry、wrld等表示③      的先行词,也可以修饰activity、business、career、case、jb、pint、psitin、race、stage、situatin等表示抽象地点的先行词,关系副词where在从句中作④      状语。
      三、why引导的限制性定语从句
      情景导学The reasn why I?m phning yu is t invite yu t a party.The reasn why he failed in the exam was that he didn?t study hard.The reasn why the vaccinatin needs repeating every year is that the virus changes.
      用法归纳关系副词why引导的限制性定语从句修饰表示⑤      的先行词,通常为reasn,关系副词why在从句中作⑥      状语。
      四、“介词+which”代替关系副词
      情景导学I went t the place where/in which I wrked ten years ag.I?ll never frget the days when/in which we wrked tgether.Can yu tell me the reasn why/fr which yu were late fr schl?I have explained the reasn why/fr which I was absent frm the meeting.We?d better fix a date when/n which we will practice speaking English.The treatment will cntinue until the patient reaches the pint where/at which he can walk prperly and safely.
      用法归纳关系副词where、when、why可以用“介词+which”代替。when=表示⑦      的介词(如in、at、n、during等)+which; where=表示⑧      的介词(如in、at、n、under等)+which; why=表示⑨      的介词(fr)+which。
      特别提醒1.“介词+关系代词”中介词的选择:(1)根据定语从句中谓语动词的习惯搭配来确定。The teacher fr whm yu have been waiting is cming in a minute.(2)根据先行词的习惯搭配来确定。This is the knife with which I usually sharpen my pencil.(3)根据定语从句所表达的意义来确定。The German bss fr/with whm the actress wrks is a kind persn.女演员为之工作的德国老板是个善良的人。/和女演员一起工作的德国老板是个善良的人。2.某些固定短语中的介词若提前将会失去短语动词的意义,所以不能将介词置于关系代词前,如lk after、lk fr和call n等。
