Step I 学习理解
活动一:感知与注意
1.前缀re常表示以下四方面的意义:
(1)表示“回”或“向后”的意思。例如:
return回来,返回 recall回忆,召回
retract缩回;撤回,收回
(2)表示“再”“重新”“重复”的意思。例如:
review复习 reunin团圆,重聚
restart重新开始 recnstructin重建
(3)表示“相反”“反对”的意思。例如:
rebel反叛,谋反 reverse反转,颠倒
resist反抗,抵抗
(4)表示“更加”的意思,用作加强语气,该用法较少例如:
cmmend“推荐”,与 cmmend意思相同,但语气更强一些。
2.前缀dis-常表示以下两个方面的意义
(1)表示“分开,分离”。例如:
distract分discuss 讨论discard抛弃
dispense分配
(2)表示“不,无”。例如:
dislike不喜欢 disrder无秩序
disagree不同意 dishnest不诚实的
disappear消失
3.前缀micr-的意义:
前缀 micr-来源于希腊语,意为“sml”,一般用于科技术语
micrbe细菌,微生物 micrcsm微观世界
micrampere微安 micrrganism微生物
micrsecnd微秒 micrscpe显微镜
4.前缀trans-常表示以下两方面的意义:
(1)表示“转变”“变换”。例如:
transprt运输(从一地转到另一地)
transplant移植
translatin翻译(从一种语言转为另一种语言)
transfrm使变形,改造
(2)表示“超过”“横跨”“超”。例如:
transnatinal跨国的
transcntinental横跨大陆的
transatlantic横跨大西洋的
5.后缀-ry常表示以下几方面的意义
(1)构成名词,表示地点。例如
drmitry宿舍(睡觉的地方)
factry工厂(做工的地方)
labratry实验室(做实验的地方)
bservatry天文台(观测的地方)
territry领土(由土地构成的地方)
此外,还可指“作……用的东西”,即“……类之物”。例如:
histry历史(历史类)
stry故事(叙述类)
memry记忆(记忆类)
(2)构成形容词,表示“……性质的、与……有关的”
即“……类的”。例如:
elusry幻觉的(幻觉类的)
gustatry味觉的(味觉类的)
此外,构成形容词还可表示“起……作用的、产生的”。例如:
cntributry促成的,促进的(促成类的)
justificatry起辩护作用的、用以辩解的(正义类的)
6.后缀-in的意义:
后缀in:常表示“性质,状态,程度,动作的过程、结果”等。这个后缀常有-tin、-sin、-ssin等不同变化形式。它们的读音大致相似,因而极易引起拼写错误。英语中常见的这类词归类如下:

7.后缀-ial的意义:后缀-al经常构成形容词表示“具有……的;有……性质的”。例如:
cmmercial商业的 cnfidential自信的
essential必要的 facial面部的,表面的
influential有影响的
8.后缀-lgy的意义此后缀表示学科、学问等抽象名词。例如:
scilgy社会学
eclgy生态学
csmlgy宇宙学
psychlgy心理学
活动二:获取与梳理

(1)-ment表示物品或物质的名称,如 Instrument、equipment、attachment。
(2)-able、-ible带有“属性、倾向、相关”的含义,如mvable、cmfrtable、applicable,visible、respnsible。
(3)-ize、ise表示“做成、变成、……化”,如 mdernize、mechanize、demcratize。【设计意图】在使用前缀和后缀进行练习之前,让学生学习前缀和后缀方面的知识,有助于学生正确应用单词的形式表达意义。
