Culture shck is a cnditin that affects peple wh travel t a cuntry different frm their wn. The term describes a traveler's feelings f bewilderment when the envirnment and culture change frm the ne that he r she is familiar with. The unfamiliar surrundings, freign language and strange habits f a new cuntry can all cntribute t a feeling f uneasiness and cnfusin.
Culture Shck U-Curve
HmesicknessCulture shck may cause hmesickness. This refers t the feeling f lnging fr ne's hme. Peple suffering frm culture shck typically experience a cmbinatin f depressive and anxius symptms related t hmesickness. Ways f cping with hmesickness include develping a hbby, thinking psitively and feeling grateful abut what ne has, and building new relatinships.Cultural shck is a natural phenmenn that ccurs when ne has a crss-cultural experience.
