    The teaching materials are a bigraphy, which tells us abut Lin Qiazhi’s life in a chrnlgical sequence, fcusing n the chices she faced in life. All the chices made by Lin Qiazhi reflect her firm faith, gd heart, high prfessinal respnsibility and devted spirit.
    Teaching Aims:
    Cultural awareness: Learn abut Lin’s life chices. Get students t learn frm great peple, knwing their similar qualities that make them great.
    Thinking quality: Encurage students t have their wn judgment and reach their wn cnclusin.
    Language ability: Get students t learn sme wrds and expressins.
    Learning ability: Develp students’ reading abilities.
    Teaching Imprtant and Difficult Pints:
    1.Help students t have a better understanding f Lin’s life chices.
    2.Enable students t have their wn judgments and reach their wn cnclusin.

    Explanatin, discussin, cperative learning, autnmic learning.

    Activity 1 Guessing game
    Shw the students fur pictures f famus peple and ask them t match the pictures with the intrductins belw.
    Guide the students t think abut the similarities amng them.
    Lead in anther great persn f this reading passage-Dr. Lin Qiazhi.
    Activity 2 Analyzing the structure f the passage
    Predict the main idea f the passage accrding t the title and pictures.
    Give 3 minutes t students t finish the fllwing three questins, including the purpse f the passage, hw t develp the passage and hw t divide the passage.
    Cmplete the main idea f each part by finding ut the wrds which appear mst frequently.
    Activity 3 Learning mre infrmatin abut Lin’s life
    Get students t fill in the blanks t knw mre abut Lin’s life
    Ask sme students t answer the questins.
    Activity 4 Learning abut Lin’s hard chices
    Get the students t fill in the frm t learn abut the fur hard chices, including the chices Lin chse, the difficulties Lin faced and the results f the chices.
    Get students t discuss their answers with teammates.
    Ask three students t stick their answers t the blackbard and check the answers.
    Ask three students t retell Lin’s hard chices in a sentence.
    Activity 5 Drawing cnclusins
    Help students t sum up Lin Qiazhi’s life chices and draw a cnclusin.
    Assignments
