    一、过去分词(短语)作表语
    Tm was relaxed when he was sitting n the sfa and watching TV.汤姆坐在沙发上看电视时感到很放松。
    过去分词可放在连系动词be, get, feel, remain, seem,lk,becme等之后作表语,构成系表结构,表示主语所处的情绪或状态, 主语多为人。分词所表示的动作与句子的主语构成动宾结构关系。

    “be+过去分词”表示状态时,是系表结构。 此时分词通常已形容词化; 被动话态表示动作, 且绝大多数被动结构中的动作执行者由介词by引出。
    amused (愉快的); excited (兴奋的);clsed (关闭的); astnished (吃惊的);crwded (拥挤的); experienced (有经验的); delighted (高兴的); mved (感动的);gne (遗失的); disappinted (失望的);wrried (担忧的); interested (感兴趣的); tired (疲劳的); pleased (高兴的);satisfied (满意的); surprised (吃惊的); married (已婚的); puzzled (迷惑的) 等等
    二、过去分词(短语)作状语
    过去分词(短语)作状语,表示动作发生的背景或情况,其逻辑主语是句子的主语。过去分词(短语)在句中作状语可以表示时间、条件、方式或伴随、让步、原因等。
    过去分词(短语)作时间状语,相当于一个时间状语从句。有时在过去分词前加上连when/while/until来强调时间概念。Asked (=When he was asked) what had happened, his face turned red.当他被问及发生了什么的时候,他的脸红了。
    过去分词(短语)作条件状语,相当于一个条件状语从句。可加连词if / unless等转换成条件状语从句。Given mre time (= If we were given mre time), we culd d it better.多给我们点时间的话,我们会做得更好。
    过去分词(短语)作让步状语,相当于一个让步状语从句。有时可加althugh/thugh/ if等连词转换成让步状语从句。Encuraged by his parents (=Althugh he was encuraged by his parents), still has n cnfidence in vercming the difficulties.虽然受到了鼓励,但他仍然没有信心克服困难。
    过去分词(短语)作方式状语或伴随状语,可以转换成一个并列句。She accepted the gift( = and she was ) , deeply mved.她接受了礼物,深深地被感动了。
    过去分词(短语)作原因状语,相当于一个原因状语从句。Brn and brught up in the village(=Because he was brn and brught up in the village), he knws a lt f peple there.
    V-ed作状语有时可保留连词,构成“连词+V-ed”结构,即:while, when, nce, as, thugh, unless, if 等连词)+V-ed。V-ed充当状语时,其逻辑主语必须与句子的主语一致。例:Once caught smking in the kitchen, the ck will be fired.Once the ck is caught smking in the kitchen, he will be fired.
    注意:如果过去分词作状语时,前面再加上逻辑主语,句子的主语就不再是过去分词的逻辑主语,这种带逻辑主语的过去分词结构实际上属于独立主格结构。
    三、现在分词与过去分词作状语的区别
    现在分词作状语与过去分词作状语的最主要区别就在于两者表示的动作与其逻辑主语之间是主动还是被动关系。
    现在分词表示的动作与其逻辑主语之间在逻辑上是主动关系。Nt knwing what t d, he asked his gd friend fr help. 由于不知道要做什么,他向他的好朋友求助。
    其逻辑主语是过去分词表示的动作的承受者,它们之间是被动关系。Given mre attentin, the flwers culd have grwn better .如果给予更多关注,这些花本能长得更好的。
