Answers: personal,confident,continue Step 3 Grammar 一、反身代词 1. 反身代词的基本形式 反身代词是 oneself根据所指词的人称、性别、单复数等的变化可以有 myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves等形式。 2. 反身代词的句法功能 (1)用作同位语(加强被修饰词的语气,仅放在被修饰的词后或句末) The box itself is not so heavy. 箱子本身并不重。 Mrs. Black herself is a lawyer. 布莱克太太本人就是一名律师。 You had better ask the driver himself. 你最好问司机本人。 Martin himself attended the sick man. 马丁亲自照顾病人。 Don’t trouble to come over yourself. 你不必费神亲自来。 You yourself said so. / You said so yourself. 你自己这样说的。 Never leave to others what you ought to do yourself. 不要把自己该做的事留给别人做。 (2)用作宾语(动词或介词的宾语) Take good care of yourself. 好好照顾你自己。 He has a right to decide for himself. 他有权为自己作出决定。 She made no complaint for herself. 她没为自己抱怨什么。 The child can dress himself. 这孩子能自己穿衣服了。 She could not make herself understood. 她不能使别人听懂她的话。 The child cried himself to sleep. 孩子哭着哭着睡着了。 (3)作表语 在be, feel, look, seem等系动词后作表语,表示身体或精神处于正常状态。 I’m not myself today. 今天我感觉不舒服。 (4)含有反身代词的固定结构 teach oneself 自学 say to oneself自言自语 learn… by oneself自学…… enjoy oneself玩得愉快 help oneself to随便吃/喝…… hurt oneself伤着自己 by oneself单独;独自 dress oneself给自己穿衣服
二、宾语补足语 宾语后面加上一个词或短语来补充说明宾语,以使句子意义完整,加上的这个成分我们称之为宾语补足语,宾语补足语可以是名词、形容词、副词、介词短语、分词或动词不定式等。常见的宾语补足语有以下几种情况: 1. 形容词作宾补 常见的接形容词作宾语补足语的动词有make, keep, get, find, leave等。 It’s our duty to keep our classroom clean. 保持教室干净是我们的职责。 2. 动词不定式作宾补 常见的接动词不定式(短语)作宾语补足语的动词(短语)有ask, allow, advise, wish, want, would like等。 Our parents often tell us not to play with fire. 我们的父母经常告诉我们不要玩火。 【注意】have, make, let, hear, watch, see, notice等动词后可用省略to的动词不定式作宾语补足语。help后用带to或省略to的动词不定式作宾语补足语均可。 Don’t make him stand here. 不要让他站在这里。 Could you help me (to) open the door? 你能帮我打开门吗?
