No. 2的练习,锻炼学生听力理解能力和判断能力。让学生练习重要词汇,完成 Let’s Do It! Hunan is a province in southern China. adj. 南部的;来自南方的 What’s the weather in your home town? It has been rainy recently here. adv. 最近;不久前;近来 Every year, lots of tourists come to visit the Great Wall. n. 游客,游人,观光者 I buy a flower for my mother on Mother’s Day. 母亲节 The girl gives her father a gift on Father’s Day. He likes it very much. 父亲节 2. Tell the students something about Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Step 3 Thinking about it Ask the students to think about the questions. 1. Have you learned about other countries in school? Which one is the most interesting? 2. What foreign festivals do you know about? Step 4 Listening Task 1. Listen and answer 1. Get the class to listen to the passage and answer the following questions. (1)What’s Lily’s favourite subject? (2) What’s the name of Lily’s favourite Chinese restaurant? 2. Elicit answers by asking individual students to read the sentences out. Answers: (1) Social studies. (2)Beijing Beijing Peking House. Task 2. Listen and read 1. Let the students listen to the recording and read the text silently. 2. Ask some students to read the passage in front of the class. Step 5 Reading Task 1. Read and answer 1. Ask the students to read the passage and then answer the questions. (1) Why does she like social studies best? (2)What does Lily know about China? (3)Is there a day for children in Canada? (4) Are there any Chinese restaurants in Canada? 2. Elicit answers by asking individual students to read the sentences out. Answers: (1) The subject is so interesting. She can learn about different countries of the world. (2)Chinese culture and festivals (3) No, there isn’t. (4) Yes, there are. Task 2. Read and fill Let the students read the passage again and fill in the blanks. Lily’s favourite subject is ____________.
