Lesson 8: E-mail Helps!
设计说明 通过Free talk既复习上一节课内容,又导入本课时新课。通过图片和相关句子,教授新单词。通过设置各种阅读任务,让学生掌握课文内容,通过找出课文中有关现在完成时的句子,帮助学生总结动词的过去分词的变化规则,通过活动3的练习,让学生掌握部分规则动词和不规则动词的过去分词。通过小组活动,让学生把自己的观点展现给全班同学,达到学以致用的目的。通过语言点的讲解,帮助学生解决课文中的疑惑和重难点。最后,通过当堂达标训练,让学生自测本课节掌握的情况,便于查漏补缺。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1. 知识目标 掌握单词:except, tonight 接触单词:physical, runner 短语:physical education(P. E. ) 2. 能力目标 (1)能掌握规则动词的过去分词和不规则动词的过去分词。 (2)能用英语收发电子邮件。 3. 情感目标 培养学生互帮互学的团队精神。 重点难点 1. 重点:掌握本课节的单词、短语和句型。 2. 难点:不规则动词的过去分词。 教学准备 PPT课件;有关生词的图片;本课节用到的音频文件。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in 1. Free talk T: How many subjects do you have? Ss: … T: What are they? Ss: They are Chinese, maths, English, physics, history, geography, politics, biology, music, P. E., art, computer... 2. New words Show some pictures and sentences to teach the students new words. ( physical, runner, except, tonight) We wear runners for P. E. class. P. E. is short for physical education. Everyone is having P. E. class except Tom. We are going to see a film tonight. 3. Think about it. Ask the students to think about the questions. T: Do you like to write e-mails or letters in English? Do your classmates help each other in class? How? Step 2 Reading Task 1 1. Ask the students to read E-mail 1 and then answer the questions. (1)Who wrote the e-mail? (2)Who is the receiver? (3)What’s Danny’s favourite subject? 2. Check the answers. Answers: (1)Danny. (2)Li Ming. (3)P. E. Task 2 1. Ask the students to read E-mail 2 and then answer the questions. (1)How many e-mails have Li Ming written today? (2)What is the best way to learn English? (3)Who has helped Li Ming with his maths? 2. Check the answers. (1)Three. (2)Using English every day. (3)Wang Mei. Task 3 Ask the students to read the lesson and write true (T) or false (F). 1. Danny’s favourite subject is P. E. (T) 2. The teacher was very angry with Danny. (F) 3. Li Ming’s favourite subject is English. (T) 4. Li Ming hates maths. (F) 5. Wang Mei has helped Li Ming with his maths a lot. (Let’s Do It! No. 2) 1. Play the recording for the students and then ask them to fill in the blanks. 2. Check the answers in pairs. 3. Check the answers with the whole class. Answers: Eight / 8; English; uses; best; Canada; sent; Chinese 4. Ask the students to read the passage. Step 4 Grammar 1. Read the two e-mails and find out the present perfect tense. Answers: I have written three e-mails in English today. You have helped me a lot. She has helped me with my maths homework a lot. 2. Sum up the grammar. 动词过去分词的变化规则 规则动词过去分词的变化规律与规则动词过去式的变化规律相同。 ① 一般动词,在词尾加-ed。 ② 以“不发音的字母e”结尾的动词后加-d。 ③以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词,先将y变为i,再加-ed。 ④ 以“元音字母+一个辅音字母”结尾的重读闭音节动词,先双写该辅音字母,再加-ed。 有一些不规则的变化,需要特殊记忆,如: become – became – become break – broke – broken come – came – come do – did – done draw – drew – drawn drink – drank – drunk drive – drove – driven be-was, were-been 3. Practice Write the past participles of the verbs below. Then group them.
regular verbs: study-studied help-helped smile-smiled laugh-laughed play-played close-closed talk-talked listen-listened walk-walked irregular verbs: tell- told write-written see-seen know-known say-said put-put teach-taught run-run make-made Step 5 Group work 1. Instruct the students to work in groups to discuss different study methods for different subjects. Each group should record their answers in a table like the one below. 2. Ask the students to write the sentences like this: I like English best. I write e-mails in English every week. 3. Ask every group to present their results in front of the class. Step 6 Language points 1. All of our teachers make us study very, very hard. 我们所有的老师都让我们非常非常努力地学习。 make 使役动词, 意为“使,让”。后接不带to的不定式作宾语补足语。 make sb. do sth. 使某人做某事 My parents make me work hard. 我的父母让我努力工作。 【拓展】

Everyone laughed except the teacher. 除了老师之外,大家都笑了。 except 介词, 意为“除……之外”,但不包括except 之后的内容,即从整体中除去一部分,其后可接名词、代词。 We all passed the exam except Tom. 除了汤姆,我们都通过了考试。(此处表示汤姆没有通过考试) 【注意】besides意为“除……之外 ,还有…… ”。包含besides之后的内容,即再加上一部分。 He knows Japanese besides English. 除了懂英语之外,他还懂日语。(两门外语都懂) 3. But I saw him smile. 但是我看见他笑了。
