设计说明 首先通过一组图片来呈现生活中遇到危急情况时需拨打的常用号码,进而通过听力来了解在遇到火灾、水灾、地震和交通事故时需注意和采取的措施,在听力环节给出一些听力技巧的指导,完成A2、A3部分听力练习。Speak up 以听力训练形式呈现,进而了解烫伤情况的紧急处理措施。Study skills通过一些图片呈现生词,进而讲解合成词的构成方法和类型,并通过一些词汇的练习来巩固所学知识。 教学目标 通过本课节的教学,让学生达成以下目标: 1.知识目标: 掌握词汇:rule, railway, burn, granddaughter, daughter, son, grandson, board, weekday, headache, toothache, countryside, housework, pancake, as... as possible, protect oneself from, stay low to the ground, follow traffic rules 2.能力目标: (1)了解紧急求救电话中需用到的关键表达法,学会从录音中获取信息,培养精细听力技能。 (2)理解复合词的构成及含义并根据提示构成和记忆复合词。 3.情感目标: 能用英语谈论如何急救,培养学生自我保护意识。 重点难点 重点:了解紧急求救电话中需用到的关键表达法,学会从录音中获取信息, 培养精细听力技能。 难点:理解复合词的构成及含义并根据提示构成和记忆复合词。 教学准备 PPT课件;听力录音;相关图片。 授课时数 1课时 教学过程 Step 1 Lead-in Show a picture and a sentence. Ask: A car crashed into a tree and two people were trapped in the car. What should they do? Ss: It’s an accident. They should dial 122. Step 2 Presentation 1. What numbers should we dial? Ask Ss to look through the pictures in Part A1 and fill in the blank and talk about it. 2. Check answers together. 3. Ask Ss to say something about the telephone numbers. Then discuss when we should dial these numbers. Step 3 Listening 1. Pre-listening(Part A2) (1) Ask students to predict(预测)—what should we do when we face fires, floods, earthquakes and traffic accidents ? (2) Teach some new words about fires. 2. While-listening(Part A2) (1) Listen to the talk and help Simon complete his notes on Page 99. Show them some listening skills. ①Predict before listening. ②Try to catch the main ideas and write parts of words at the first time . (2) Play the tape again and students write the answers. (3) Check answers together. Answers: 1 thick smoke 2 low 3 go back 4 high 5 walk 6 Hide 7 window 8 follow 9 left 10 walk (4) Ask and answer. A: What should we do when there is... B: We should... A: What shouldn’t we do? B: We shouldn’t... Give four pictures about fires, floods, earthquakes and traffic accidents and ask them to choose one to talk about it. Then choose some pairs to present their dialogues. 3. Part A3. (1)Simon’s cousin Annie is asking Simon about the talk. Help him answer Annie’s questions. Listen to the talk again and complete the dialogue. (2) Check answers together. Answers: 1 traffic accidents 2 get out 3 wet towel 4 low 5 high ground 6 walk 7 strong 8 window 9 traffic rules 10 railways (3) Fill in the blanks and give some advice on how to keep ourselves safe. If our building is on fire, we should try to 1 get out as soon as possible. We should also use a towel to 2 cover our mouths and noses and stay away from 3 thick smoke. When there is a flood, we should 4 get to a high ground. We shouldn’t 5 walk through the flood water. When an earthquake happens, hide 6 under a strong desk or table. Stay away from 7 a window. If there is a traffic accident, we should 8 follow traffic rules. Moreover, it’s dangerous to sit, walk or ride on 9 railways. (4) Check the answers with students. Then give them some time to remember the advice. Step 4 Speak up 1. We may face much danger in our daily life. Sometimes we may get hurt. What should we do first? How can we give first aid? 2. Millie and Daniel are talking about first aid. Listen to their conversation and answer the following questions. ① What should they do first when people burn their hands? They should keep their hands in cold water for about ten minutes. ② What should they do after that? Cover the burn with a clean towel. ③ Should they put any cream on it? No, they shouldn’t. They should go and see the doctor. 3. Read the dialogue and fill the table. What should you do if you burn yourself

Stay away from a window. 远离窗户。 stay away from... 远离…… Please stay away from drugs. 请远离毒品。 Step 6 Discussion 1. What should we do when a stampede(踩踏) happens? Divide the students into 4 groups and discuss it. 2. Choose some students to share their ideas. 3. Give students some advice. (1) We should calm down. (2) Tell others not to push. (3) Call the police for help. (4) Work together and help each other. (5) Protect our heart and head. (6) Don’t bend to pick up your shoes, cellphone or wallet. Step 7 Lead-in 1. Show some pictures and teach some words. mother, son, daughter, grandfather, grandmother, grandson, granddaughter, housework, board, blackboard, headache, toothache, countryside, pancake 2. Learn some new words. Show the new words on the screen. Let Ss read after the teacher. Give them some time to remember them as soon as possible. Step 8 Presentation 1. Give the concept of compound words. 合成词 是将两个或者两个以上的词,按照一定的次序排列构成的新词。我们只要认识作为成分的基本词,再结合上下文的语境,就不难推测出新词的含义。 2. Give some compound words as models. rail + way = railway earth + quake = earthquake pan + cake = pancake snow + ball = snowball 3. Finish Part A on Page 101. Then check answers.
