    Lesson 20: I Like the Supermarket!

    设计说明

    首先,通过编对话复习上节课所学内容;接着,利用图片和创设情境编对话学习本课节的词汇和有用的表达,并以对话的形式对其练习;然后,通过听后回答问题、阅读判断正误和阅读填空等环节逐步理解对话内容,并在此基础上进行对话表演;最后,处理本课中剩余的练习题。在做练习3时要给予适当点播点拨

    教学目标

    通过本课节的教学,学生达成以下目标:

    1.知识目标

    掌握单词:full, cookie, chocolate, everything, meat, job

    短语和句型have to, Do you want to come with me? 

    be full of…, What would you like to buy?  write down,  Good job!

    2.能力目标

    (1)(1) 能听懂有关购物的对话;

    (2) (2)能用英语就购物话题进行问答。

    3.情感目标

    要养成理性消费,根据需要购买物品的好习惯。

    PPT 课件;表示饼干、巧克力和肉等的图片。

    教学过程

    Step 1  Warming up

    Review the conversation about food for meals.

      Get the class to have a conversation in pairs like this, then check them.

        A: What’s the time?

    B: 7:15/12:00/6:00.

    A: Oh, time for breakfast/lunch/supper. What’s for breakfast/lunch/supper?

    B: We have...They’re delicious. What would you like?

    A: I’d like...

    Step 2  Presentation 

    1. Teach the new words cookie, chocolate, meat by discussing the pictures.

      Teacher says: Look! There are many kinds of food. What are they in English?

      And then teach the new words one by one.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    2. Teach the new expressions have to, Do you want to come with me? What would you like to buy? write down by talking about shopping.

      T : Would you like them? (Pointing at the pictures of cookie, chocolate and meat)

    S: No. I’d like some vegetables.

    T: Oh. I have to go to the supermarket. Do you want to come with me?

    S: Sure. What would you like to buy?

    T: Vegetables, like potatoes, tomatoes. Let’s write them down.

    3. Teach the new word everything and expressions be full of and Good job using the picture.

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Step 3  Practice

     Get the class to practice the conversation.

       A: Time for breakfast/lunch/dinnersupper. What’s for it?

    B: We have…

    A: Oh. I don’t like it/them. I’d like some vegetables/fruits/meat/…

    B: I have to go to the supermarket to buy it/them. 

         Do you want to come with me?

    A: Sure. What would you like to buy?

    B: Vegetables, like potatoes, tomatoes./Fruit, like…/Meat, like…

    A: There so many things.  Let’s write them down.

    B: OK.

    A: Look! Our basket is full of things. We have everything.

    B: Good job! Let’s go home.

    Step 4  Listening and answering

     Teacher says: Mrs. Dinosaur and Danny want to go shopping. Now listen and answer the questions.

    1. Where do they go to buy things?

    2. Do they have a shopping list?

    Answers: 1. Supermarket.

            2. Yes, they do.

    Step 5  Reading and judging

     Get the class to read the lesson and write true (T) or false (F). (Lets Do It! No. 1)

    1. Danny doesn’t want to go to the supermarket.        (       )

    2. Danny writes donuts, cookies and chocolate on the list. (       )

    3. Danny and his mum have everything on their list.     (       )

    Answers: 1. F  F 2. T  T 3. T

    Step 6  Reading and filling

      Get the class to read the lesson and fill in the blanks.

    Mrs. Dinosaur ___________________________ go to the supermarket. And Danny wants to go with her because the supermarket _______________ delicious food. Danny looks at the shopping list. The list doesn’t have donuts, cookies or chocolate, so he _______________________________. Now they are shopping at the supermarket. They have eggs, milk, bread, chicken, fish, _______________,_______ apples and bananas…. They have _________________________ on the list. Danny says, “ Good job! Mum.”

    Answers: has to, is full of, write them down, meat, everything

    Step 7  Reading and acting

      Get the class to read following after the recording. Then act it out in a group of four in front of the class.

    Step 8  Exercises

     1. Look at the pictures and fill in the blanks. (Lets Do It! No. 2)

        1. A: What would you like for breakfast?

          B: Eggs, cereal and some _________.

    2. A: What’s for lunch, Mum?

          B: We have some _______________ and _______________.

          B: No, thanks.

     2. Rewrite the sentences into questions. (Lets Do It! No. 3)

    (6) Danny and Jenny like chocolate.

            (4) Do you buy vegetables?

            (5) Does he have a list?

            (6) Do Danny and Jenny like chocolate?

     3. Fill in the blanks with the words in the box. (Lets Do It! No. 4)

    1. Danny, I have to go to the supermarket. 丹尼,我必须去超市。

      have to 不得不,必须 。其后接动词原形,第三人称单数形式为has to.

      I have to go now. 现在,我必须走了。

      Tom has to finish his homework. 汤姆必须完成他的作业。

     【拓展】

      have to的否定形式和疑问形式都要借助于助动词dodoes构成。Don’tdon’t/doesn’t have to意为“不必”。

      They don’t have to go to work on Sundays. 周日他们不必去上班。

      —Does your sister have to call back? 你妹妹必须回电话吗?

      —Yes, she does. 是的,她必须。/Noshe doesn’t. 不,她不必。

    辨析:have to must

    两者都有“必须”的意思,但用法有区别。

    侧重客观需要

    有人称、数和时态的变化

    侧重主观上自己认为有义务,有必要

      full  adj.

       满的充足的(反义词为empty“空的be full of…充满……

       饱的(反义词为hungry“饿的

    3. I can write it down. 我可以把它写下来。

      write down写下来。 该短语是“动词+副词”结构,名词作其宾语时可放在down之后,也可放在writedown之间;人称代词作其宾语时,必须放在write down之间。

      = Please write down your telephone number .

      请写下你的电话号码。

      You need to write them down.你需要把它们写下来。

    4. Good job, Mum.做得好,妈妈。

      (1) Good job. 做得好。

        常用鼓励别人、赞扬别人某事做得好。

      (2) job〔可数名词〕工作。其复数形式为jobs

        I want a new job. 我想要一份新工作。

       拓展】work  n. & v. 工作

       work用作名词时,为不可数名词。

       My father has a lot of work to do every day. He usually works very late.

       我父亲每天有许多工作要做。他通常工作到很晚。
