Ss are required to work in groups to think of more new technologies around. 通过展示学生较为熟知的新科技,调动学生的积极性,引导学生感受生活中的新型科技,同时通过小组合作拓展思维,开展头脑风暴,为接下来的阅读做好铺垫。猜出图片内容,在老师指导下尝试用英语说出一些新科技名称。Pre-reading2’T presents three pictures in the passage and Ss identify what they are and predict the main idea of the passage.通过呈现文章中的插图,让学生识别新科技名称以及预测文章大意。说出新科技名称同时通过图片预测文章的主要内容。While-reading10’1. Ss read the whole passage and discuss in groups the question again:What are the meanings of Internet of things, artificial intelligence and cloud computing?通过泛读练习,培养学生整体把握文章大意的能力。从文中找出并理解物联网、人工智能以及云计算的定义。2. T leads Ss to focus on the features of each new technology and grasp the “main verb” to describe each one of them.T may present the example like this:Internet of thingsFeatures: By using software to connect things to daily life.Main verb: Connect通过精读文章让学生掌握三个新科技的特点,培养学生查找、分析和归纳的能力,为后续活动做好铺垫。找出关键词句来描述三个新科技的特点。3. T plays the recording and leads Ss to focus on the key words and phrases: connect..to, recognize, schedule, access, appointment, server, tablet, desktop, internet connection, etc通过播放录音,让学生了解单词正确读音;同时划出重难点词汇,引导学生在上下文中猜测含义,为延伸至新科技的领域应用做铺垫。掌握重难点词汇短语的发音以及能大致猜测出相关词汇短语的含义。Post-reading 15’1.Ss work in groups to brainstorm some fields or examples that use Internet of things, artificial intelligence and cloud computing.T may present the example like this: Internet of things: TmallGenie; Artificial Intelligence: Machine Translation;Cloud Computing: Database for epidemic control and prevention 通过结合新科技的特点,引导学生基于真实生活情境下深入分析新科技在生活中的运用,实现思维和语言能力的迁移。基于新科技的特点,小组讨论出其他使用新科技的领域或范例。2. Based on key words and phrases on blackboard design as well as the features of the three new technology, Ss work in groups to introduce one of them in oral English. T may provide the sample pattern:(1W+1H)What is it---FeatureHow is it used---Field/example通过词汇、短语和句式的积累,让学生连词成句,连句成篇,增强归纳和表述能力。在老师的帮助下有逻辑地用英语对新科技进行表述和介绍。3. Ss share their performance in the class, and others give some comments.通过小组汇报展示,师生评价,生生互评,鼓励学生以评促学和小组竞赛。每组学生代表上台发言并能给与其他组评价。Pronunciation7’T introduces the proverbs in Fun Time. Ss tell the difference of [ʃ] and [ʒ] and find out the words with sound of [ʃ] and [ʒ] .在语境中轻松掌握语音知识,通过朗读、比较和分析,明确相近辅音的发音异同点。正确朗读例句,掌握谚语的中文大意,明确 [ʃ] 和 [ʒ]的异同点。Summary&Homework3’Summary: Ss try to sort out the knowledge points and have the assessment in “My Progress Check”.
