Unit3 Topic1 Section A教学设计
Ⅰ.Material analysis
Section A的主要教学活动为1a和2。
通过Helen和Wen Wei的对话,呈现了本课所要谈论的话题: What’s your hobby?以及兴趣、爱好的不同表达形式,如like/enjoy/prefer/be fond of /be interested in +doing。结合本单元的话题Our Hobbies, 呈现了大量的表示兴趣爱好的短语: go traveling, collect stamps, walk a pet dog, listen to music等。“兴趣爱好”这个话题和学生们的生活紧密相联,容易激发学生的学习兴趣。但要正确使用爱好的不同表达形式对学生来说还是有一定困难的。所以,要求老师以课本文本内容为依据,结合学生的实际生活,引导学生正确地使用like/enjoy/prefer/be fond of /be interested in +doing谈论自己的兴趣爱好,并能书面表达自己及朋友家人的兴趣爱好。
Ⅱ.Teaching aims
Knowledge aims:
1. 能根据音标正确拼读并运用单词表中的单词,如: hobby, poem, maybe等。
2. 能正确地用英语表达自己的喜好,如: go traveling,collect stamps,walk a pet dog, listen to music等。
3. 能正确地运用不同的方式,如: like/enjoy/prefer/be fond of /be interested in +doing结构来表达兴趣爱好。
4. 能运用本课所学语言,就自己和他人的喜好用英语进行交流。
Skill aims:
1. 能听懂有关喜好的话题,并能听懂朋友的邀请。
2. 能正确地谈论爱好,根据实际情况拒绝或接受朋友的邀请。
3. 能正确朗读课本的文本材料,在图片提示下基本读懂谈论爱好的文章。
4. 能正确地写出自己和他人的兴趣爱好,能根据图片编一个跟爱好相关的小故事。
Emotional aims:
培养学生有益于学习和身体健康的兴趣爱好。
Ⅲ.The key points and difficult points
Key points:
- What’s your hobby? My hobby is...及like/enjoy/prefer/be fond of /be interested in +doing句型。
2. go traveling, collect stamps, walk a pet dog, listen to music
Difficult points:
be fond of/be interested in其后动词要用V-ing形式。

1.Focus their attention on the teacher.
2.Students watch carefully and learn some words about hobbies.
3.Students look at the pictures and learn the new words and phrases.
4.Number the pictures after listening.
5.Students read the new words one by one in their own groups, correcting each other’s mistakes at any time.
6.Prepare a competition. Speak out more sentences with the same meaning.

2.Teacher plays a video and asks students to learn some more words about hobbies:
3.Teacher shows some pictures to teach the new words and phrases.
4.Play 3a. Pay attention to the pronunciation.
5.Play 3a again.
6.Organize the students to play a game. The group leader speaks out a sentence using “love /prefer/be fond of ...” and the activities in 3a. Other group members speak out the sentences with the same meaning. The group which can speak more sentences is the winner in 30 seconds. |

Part2 Presentation (8minutes) | 1.Read “recite” and remember its meaning, spelling and pronunciation. Finish 1b.
2.Write down the phrases according to the pictures as many as possible. Then share the answers in groups.
3.Listen to 1a again. Check the phrases. Pay attention to the pronunciation.
4.Listen to 1a for the third time and finish 1c. Then hand up as quickly as possible.
5.Read 1a carefully. Hand up when meeting problems.
6.Finish 1d individually and check the answers in groups. | 1.Finish 1b. Check the answer and teach the new word “recite” by showing pictures.(Show pictures about students reciting English textbook in the morning.)
2.Encourage students to look at the pictures in 1c and try to check the phrases according to the pictures.
3. Play 1a again and ask students to write down the phrases in 1c.
4.Play 1a for the third time, and ask students to write H for Helen’s hobbies, W for Wen Wei’s.
5.Provide students 2 minutes to read 1a aloud. Teacher should walk around the classroom to check whether the students can read and give them some advice or help.Then the whole class read 1a together.
6.Finish 1d. Ask students to read 1a and fill in the blanks. |

1.Student listen and read. ① Students read each sentence after the recording, imitating the pronunciation and the intonation. ②Students try to follow the speed. ③Students read 1a in pairs, trying to read correctly and fluently.There are A, B, C three pairs.
2.Students read 1a in pairs and act it out.
3.Students listen carefully and take notes.
4.Fill in the blanks by themselves. And check the answers after listening.
5.Discuss these words in groups “Do they have the same meaning?”
6.Discuss in groups about the structure of “like/be fond of/be interested in /enjoy/prefer + doing”.

②Teacher plays the recording without stopping. ③Teacher gives 1 or 2 minutes for the students to read 1a in pairs.

4.Finish 2. Ask students to fill in the blanks in 2 according to the pictures. Then play the recording of 2.
5.Write down “like/be fond of/be interested in /enjoy /prefer” on the blackboard.
6.Ask students to look at 2 carefully and summarize the usage of “like/be fond of/be interested in/ enjoy /prefer”.

Ⅶ.Teaching Reflection
It’s easy for the students to use the structure of “prefer/be fond of/be interested in/love + doing” after teaching, but it’s hard for them to remember these phrases which are related to the hobbies or outdoor activities. Teachers should think of more ways to practice these phrases.
